Great News! Way to go!
That's just...weird.
Happy Birthday, Quentin! May all your wishes come true.
Go unca! Love your work, man.
D'girl, Peace and comfort on your birthday and always. Don't know how I found this post. Serendipity. I don't know if it will ever feel less painful. February, Fat Tuesday, my Dad passed away in L.A.. 1000 mi. away. The kids and I drove there for a mass and gathering after, then drove home the next day. No sooner had we arrived home than my brother called, saying my mom had cancer of the liver and lungs and her kidney was failing. She had a heart attack a couple of weeks later and jo
I'll usually run a collection of apps that "match" to my taste. Sometimes I'll spend a day or two getting it all to coordinate. Most likely, by then, something new will appear here, and I'll end up doing the same procedure again...and again. Occasionally, I'll find just the right combo for whatever work I'm doing at the time, get attached to it, and not change settings for a week. A week is, on average, about as long as I go without trying a new collection of skins/apps. I'll change apps, o
talkin' with the Irishman that lives in the potty: O'Rourke! selling Buicks!
O.K. You've got my interest. Not that I plan on letting more than a day or two go by w/o checking in here, spending my hour sniffing around the forums, news, new and not-so-new works for me to download. For FREE! Come to think about it, WC is so much a habit now that I just boot up and come here right after I check my mail. If not daily, then no more than a day passes 'til I'm online again. Gotta say, though, with summer in full gear here in the Rockies, Tetons only 1/2 hr. away, kids both j
Didn't know about the hand thingy. Have hunted around a few times to find a link to notify a mod of weirdness or shenanigans. Good to have a "panic button". No Private Messages (I couldn't bring myself to type the abbreviation) What?! No PMs?! Ohhh...I see...
Thanks for the reminder, Zoomba. I've received and sent PMs since this feature was introduced. Had to get used to looking up at the header bar where it now says "private messages". Now I usually look every time the page loads. Kind of like my Labs: every month or so I have to "retrain" or remind them of what to do... Me too, if I don't get a lot of PMs. A great feature! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/wc/

may infringe on artists' copyrights as it is a method of redistribution Been wondering about that, and to tell the truth it's been nagging me now and then that I may be violating the ethics of the whole thing by posting someone else's work. Thanks, jafo. Checking the restrictions of the source, and also contacting the creator(s) prior to public posting would be the appropriate way to go. Otherwise it would be/has been a rip every time I post work that's
Kind of like "shut the door!" in French means "I love you"
I don't use most of the smiley-sites as I've found they're like the "screensaver and "wallpaper" sites, in that most, but not all, immediately have popups and popunders and annoying junk. I just collect them (many at devart) and put them in a folder in My Pictures I've named "1 A gifs for posting". That way, when I right-click on a smiley/ani-gif I want to save, and click Save As, it defaults to My Pictures, and the first folder(with the "1 A") is my gif folder. Then I go to a photo-hosting
*off-topic*: Eng. "for the birds" = idiom = "no good"/"crazy idea" (como en Esp: "el vive en la Luna" = "loco") *back to topic*
The forums make my day. Po', you're one-of-a-kind, let the crap fall where it may, you're so far beyond it. The thoughts expressed here have been so wise I've got to go outside and just ponder for awhile. Up one day and next it's something else... What a crew.
