Lets make a few minor rules. 4 Champs per party max. 1 Champ needs to have essence. Different Champ bonuses provide different quest bonuses.
Like... Out to Lunch
LOL, more like on assignment. King Arthur says "go find the holy grail", Your sov says "go find me stuff to help the kingdom/empire. Once on assignment, the party will keep going and teleport finds to the Sov/Capital. They will only return when recalled. Recall takes, say, 2 turns. [e digicons]:

The more powerful monsters are released by bumbling adventurers screens are great, and have made me laugh on more than one occasion. They also made me think of an old PC game. Back in the late 80's, early 90's there was a game called "War of the Lance". A turn based conquer the world Strat game based in the D&D Dragonlance setting. a fun if heavily outdated game. One concept from there I love was Passive Questing. Take a group of heroes not doing anything else, pile them into a pa
A thought occurs to me. Make a trade network, that has to be A. researched, and B. built as a world "wonder". The trade network will simply not exist until both are done. And advantage to the person who controls the hub? Why 2-5% of every transaction in resources, goes straight into the controlling factions coffers. This can be handled once every 10 turns , a Diplo trade screen will pop up with the accumulated "kickbacks" shown as a temporary "Diplomatic Capital" stat that can be used
It made me wonder why a guy would even have a ability he couldn't use.
It's an undiscovered ability that only you as an All-Mighty/Incredibly Frail channeler can see the potential for and release. [e digicons]|-)[/e] Besides, have you seen the animation for the "Melee" powers, "I'll smite you with all the strength and power granted by my liege. Quiver as I smash each testicle into different counties." - Raise shield into air, don't swing weapon, stand perfectly
Don't forget to pop the attack bumping items on the archer hero. Between the +1 attack ring, +2attack amulet, and the berserker one with +3 attack, -3 defense, that's more attack bonus than the Bows themselves. Throw in a mount and items to get attack speed and....
I'm with BK, yeah you may end up with a lot of materials, but an organized world wide merchant merchant doesn't really fit well with the post apocalyptic story of the game. Besides, my current game gave me no material resources at all (other than Labor pits and a few lost caravans) until around turn 250, and even then it was because I took over a few cities from an enemy sov. Until turn 300 or so, materials were a primary concern for my empire, buildings or troops, never both. G
A good portion of items can not be used in combat, Books are among them. They can only be used on the world map. The Bug is probably that they show up as an option in combat at all.

There was another post on here somewhere with a thought of being able to marry another Sov's child as an arranged marriage. Makes sense and would make it so everyone would have a chance of marriage in every game regardless of random Champ placement. [e digicons]:inlove:[/e]
Are you saying there are no Female champs to hire, you can't hire them, once hired the game doesn't give you the option, or that the champ refuses your proposal? No Female champs = random, I feel you on this one, it's happened to me before. You can't hire them = Quite possible you need the hotfixs released over the weekend. Not being able to hire was a bug. Game doesn't give you the option = Odd, probably a glitch/bug Refuses proposal = Need to bump your Reputa
I see lots of posts on here about archers not being able to hit, but I had the opposite problem last night. A single bandit archer with a short bow decimated a defending troop (3) of Darkling Warriors. Every shot hit and hit for max damage despite armor (2 hits/turn for 6 damage each). By the time the Darklings waded through the inept melee units and got the archer on the run they had 1 out of 78 HPs left. This is game breaking! [e digicons]:borg:[/e] Snipe
I noticed that 3 of the Vanilla Sovs still have "Organized" as an ability/trait on the sov select screen. Also noticed that the Wraith sov (forget her name) says 14 wisdom on the select screen, but when a game is started she only has 10 essence. I haven't checked every sov for inaccuracies, I just noticed these last night after my reinstall got me up and running again.
I've been thinking about trying to start an Eberron, realized it doesn't fit the core mechanics for Elemental, and then this morning went, "Dark Sun would fit!" You beat me to it. [e digicons]8(|[/e] I'm not much of a code jockey, but I'd be happy to help with concept, tech, unit dev, and I'll even take a stab at the world map. If you want the help. I've got some ideas on using current resources as well.

Just updated to the hotfix and now I can't get past the "Dragon" load screen. Complete Freeze. Not even Ctrl-Alt-Delete. [e digicons]:hugme:[/e] XP SP3 Pentium 4 2.6Ghz 2 GB Ram ATI x 1650 512MB X-Fi
In my current game I've started running into alot of Ogre Shamans that like casting confuse. Most of the time on the same unit, over and over. Confuse description states it halves attack values. This is not what I'm seeing in the attack values on the unit cards in battle. Rilis had and attack power of 27. After one confuse if dropped to -4, even her auto hit ability missed due to negative damage. BUT here's the fun part, a round later the Ogre shaman cast confuse on her again, this time makin
To anyone on here concerned about whether Stardock will get Elemental straightened out, or considering never buying another SD title, I highly suggest you find a copy of the original Galactic Civilizations, The Original release of GalCiv 2, and GalCiv 2 Ultimate. All 3 are awesome 4x games, but you really need to see what happens between these versions. In all fairness, The first one had rough edges and limited player options. Fun, but I went back to MOM and MOO 2 after a month or 2.<
All of my sov's kids have the same description/background text and traits as the same sex parent. Appearance and Stats are different. All males take after the father , females the mother. It's not even switching out the names in the background text. I don't remember this happening in my 1.05 game.
"5" When the game decides I should be playing in 3d mode instead of cloth map, I hit "5" to zoom in (I like the angle better than "1") and zoom back out to cloth map. I have to use this every time I save, so I guess it's my Favorite.
I'm all for this. just dunno if my PC is...
Last game No one had horses, Me or AI, anywhere on the map. However 1 AI faction had 7 Worg Dens. I took over a few of their cities and eventually I had Knights mounted of worgs on my kingdom faction...
Aylkiouyiskiaia I pronounce it Bob...
Maybe the Save/Upload is a bug, It makes sense for the ownership not to change until next turn. Plus, I like it that way just in case the enemy Sov is on their way there for the next turn, it at least a few sov suicide runs
Btw, has anyone noticed that you can use diplomacy with minor factions? Just start diplomacy with one of the majors, and then use left or right button at top, to scroll to other leaders, influcing minor factions. You can them make tech/trade treatises, or sell them excess resources (since they usually have some excess gold).
I noticed and that's part of why I made this post. As a Empire faction you ha
