Wow, this is really really scary. I noticed the trend as well, but now that we have more harrd confirmations it seems demigod is losing its top tier players really fast. With new games on the horizon, I wouldn't be surprised if the trend got worse. Final Fantasy 13, God of War 3, Dragon Age Expansion, BioShock2, etc. I guess people felt enough is enough. Ah well, GPG got their return on their investment at the expense of us naive players. Sort

The problem is high tower is easily noticed by just mousing over the tower to see the high HP tower. Gold is a little harder to pick up, but somewhat noticable. Super creeps can be very hard to pick up until a bit after the 2 minute mark, because people rarely tank the creeps early on. I was a little baffled why doing a small chase resulted in me dying so soon. Then you start to realize, Uh oh, those creeps are not normal at all. "Instant Level", Starting G

I've noticed when viewing my replays, sometimes it would invalid gamestate mid-way, or it would end mid-way before the game actually ended, resulting in vastly different favor points then what was recorded. e.g. sometimes it would invalid game state within the replay, but the game clearly finished and was recorded as a victory or loss. I'm not sure if it is because of which observer I use or what speeds I use. The problem occured with zero speed adjustments as

It is even more fun when a 25% player gets hostile with you when you give him some constructive hints. Even better that we start off in the chat by saying how a good team will beat 3 pros. The game starts before I can explain the contradiction (pro players are good team players). As a host, he also didn't warn us that he set AI creep damage to ultra high and warrank growth to ultra slow. He used a capture lock when no enemy is in sight and he intended to

I would prefer it if the game let you mouse-over and quickly see the DIFFERENCE of settings compared to the defaults. Or, when in the game, a quick auto summary of differences between defaults. Also, we need to be able to SEE game settings during the match itself. While towers is easy enough, sometimes I ponder if high gold is on or "slow" warrank speed is on. Of course, this will most likely never happen, despite being incredibly useful. I find nothing wro

Strange. A lot of times I see nothing but "noob only" games, and I have to make a game or wait a bit of time. When I started this epoch, I was running around 18% win ratio. It wasn't because I sucked. In the previous epoch, when I wasn't the worst, I was running around 39% or so win ratio. I was a legimate example of a bad luck run early in the current epoch. Because everyone had the 'same stats', I could not tell who was noob or not and I was

Game is very laggy, it is close to the 3 minute mark, and one ally has gotten disconnected somehow (normal disconnect, not a rage quit), so you are down a guy, and it is before the 3 minute mark. You don't want to risk your ally not conceding in time, so you quit. Is that considered rage quitting? Some guys insisted it was, but I honestly didn't think so. I've asked for a general consensus on what is the right way to do this. These guys didn't think it w
This is a nice list but without getting specific, I will say that my experience is that many of those listed aren't "the best" but rather just very good Demigod players in general. I have played a number of those players and while they are good, their win percentages are largely because they won't go into a game that they aren't confident that they'll win based on who their teammates are.
Anyone with huge egos should get ready to be upset as they will most likely NOT win the majority of matches. Some will simply refuse to play as a result of this. I know at least one guy in my little clan that would hate this. I know that some of you guys can't relate to this at all, but picture it this way. If you already have a great team, why would you want to add someone different to the mix? Why would you
The biggest problem with tournaments is coordinating with a large number of players and in a fixed time frame. I personally don't think that we'll be able to get a tourney going at this stage. But what we could/should do, and what I'm really driving at, is starting to play more together. You notice some of the responses to this thread? Me n X person will take on any of you. Not "I would enjoy playing wi

GOGOGOGO" We open it up to 4v4. We get a 33% and he gets a 0%. "NOOOOO! We aren't stacked anymore! This isn't fair!" Nice enough guy, bu

Naur has a pretty vicious DA too! :) I have a tenative list, but I really don't think I play enough yet to make any meaningful contributions. A lot of guys seem really good to me. :) Anyway, seriously. There should be a way to generate a list of all team combinations from these players, then have them play it all out as a mini-tournament of sorts. :) I think it would be really nifty fun thing to do. It would be like a "high end" lea
This is such a nifty game too! I wonder if they do some sort of formal "re-release" to bring back some of the 20,000 or so players we used to have. Of course, that is after they fix the other issues and such. It's just impossible to tell what kind of plans GPG/SD have for this game when it comes to multiplayer. I'd love to see it re-released with a battle.net type backbone handling matchmaking, but it seems unlikely.

true. I just wondered why you said major league teams were an example of an enclosed, fixed, controlled environment that resulted in ~50% wins for all teams when in fact, some team usually tends to come out with 90-100% wins depending on the sport. I do wish we had a better ranking method..
Apologies for the confusion. Oh, absolutely. In an enclosed environment, stats are ext
lol your right, but wrong. Yes, if LeBron James played himself in a 1v1, theoretically a 50 / 50 chance. However, until we start cloning humans... that's never going to happen. Nobody is exactly the same skill level as the next guy.. and the more people you add, the less fixed, controlled, and enclosed the environment is. It is entirely impossible to have completely even teams. Your last paragraph doesn't ma

Here is my stance -- random decent pugs can coordinate fairly well to beat pre-mades, so pre-mades are totally fine. I welcome the challenge. -- stats are not indicative of anything since not everyone is playing on the same field That said, all players being equally skilled and all things being equal, when they play against each other, their win % will converge to.... 50%. LeBron James vs LeBron James in a 1v1. Odds of Lebron #1 winning? 50%.&nb
So, I have to admit, I'm a bit puzzled about why everyone is so upset about this one. Sure it is annoying and should be fixed, however if the bug is caused by people intentionally, then they were going to quit anyway. The only difference between them quitting or creating an invalid gamestate is how the game is recorded in your stats. Do your stats matter that much? Really? Does your enjoyment of a game really depend
