Once spyware infestation gets to a certain point, format is the only logical conclusion. I always install backend security on peoples machines, and they never realise it - but it protects them heavily.. Stardock has a nice new product coming out after the holidays that will pretty much prevent most infestations of trojans/spyware, and at the very least, make them readily curable. In testing, its pretty effecient, and is only going t

I know someone that purchased a 3,000$ computer system, and all they know how to do with it, is check the weather. Thats a mighty expensive widget! Anyone else got any horror stories about nOoBs that buy computers, and then are confused with what they are used for? Share them with us.... <!-- Ju-Anchor-Footer-End

Splenda is good, Aspartame is BAD. Honey is a GREAT addition to tea as well, good point! Honey has many health benefits and is far underused in our modern society. Honey is a nice replacement for processed sugar in many foods as well. Bravo to you!

Well that was quick. The redirection of BoredMofo to here is over, and its back up. I decided to throw up my own little blog site, because its so much more efficient to blog and link crap, than it is to maintain a Mambo type website and forums. People can chat and comment within the blogs, so it really serves the same purpose, just grossly more efficient.

$300 19″ LCD’s… All the way down to Portable DVD Players for $89.. This is a great shopping year for electronic junkies like myself. I’ve got money, but i’m cheap, I have wanted a portable dvd player for about 5 years but never wanted to spend $999 for them.. Last year they were down to $300, and I was tempted. This year? Try $89 for a nice 7″ mod

I'm generally a fairly healthy person (but I need improvements), however I tend to get Acid Reflux and Heartburn around Christmas time. The cold weather, combined with my excessive holiday feasting, and my slightly overweight state all combine for some pretty intense reflux this time of year. Four years ago, I discovered a sure fire remedy for acid reflux

Green Tea has so little Caffine compared to Coffee. Thats where I was missing out the last two days. I supplimented my daily coffee doses, with hot tea, and lost about 90% of my caffine intake, and boy did I pay for that! Lesson learned, i'll drink green tea in ADDITION to those 2-3 cups of coffee per day, and probably feel much better in the process. Silly me.

I completely agree with you on this.. From what I know, there is only a tiny of things escalating with a baby tooth cavity, but its quite rare from what i've heard/read. My wife has a Masters in Biology, a Bachelors in Chemistry, and a Bachelors in Nursing (RN), and she tends to agree with me on this as well, so you have some backing.. ! This brings to mind a recent article I r

Hah! A friend of mine bought OD a couple weeks ago, and just last night I said "Hey, have you used Theme Manager?", and he repled "No, whats that?".. Anyway, I showed him, and he was like "This is the coolest thing i've seen in a long time.". Kinda funny, it was one of the first things I played with, and I use it all of the time.

I had a strange thing happen over the last two days. I just didn't feel "Good", it was hard to explain, but in general, I felt like I was less on my toes. Worse, I had physical symptoms, I had a scathing headache last night, and some wierd leg pain, and my left leg felt "Warm", like someone was pouring hot water over it! At first I was thinking this was pretty seri

Brew some fresh green tea, then drop a Cinnamon Stick in it for a couple of minutes. No sugar needed, and the added benefit of Cinnamon, which itself has been proven to help regulate blood sugar levels, and lower cholesterol! Talk about a healthy drink - I don't think there is anything healthier than this combo. I bet 3-4 cups of that a day, would add years to peoples lives!

I think what you are seeing is indeed a "Consolidation" of things into the main leaders of Widgetry. Why get 20 little skinnable programs, when you can buy DX and get widgets to do all of that? Second, in my opinion, Widgetry is moving from a niche market, to a more mainstream aspect as people uncover more useful widgets/gadgets. Furthermore, stand alone gadgets that are really nice, are viewed more as actual appplications than widgets them

I suspect 2005 will bring Gadgets/Widgets more to the forefront - especially in terms of RAD and Commercial aspects relating to them. Anyone not on the widget/gadget bandwagon next year, will be behind the curve I suspect.

For many years, green tea was only frequently seen in the "Heath Nut" sector, but wasn't mainstream. Americans preferred Coffee over tea, and green tea wasn't really even a consideration until the late 90's when it started to break out from the health food stores into mainstream markets. Now you can hardly go anywhere without seeing green tea, many restraunts are se

Interesting enough, I tested at 110 Mg/DL this morning after fasting all night, and thats within the "Normal" ranges according to most reports. However 80 range is considered ideal. But my wife was pretty much correct, blood sugar seems to greatly fluctuate in people. In all fairness, I am back on my cinnamon and green tea regimen, which could be playing a part in it going down - cinnamon taken in the form of 1g per meal, is known to help control gluc

I just installed Firefox and tried it out... and my web pages were bouncing around like kangaroos... I don't have time to figure out why I have graphical screw ups 5 seconds after I open it for the first time. Back to good ol reliable IE. and with that kind of patience with "User Error" you probably sho

I had a HUGE lunch today at 1:30PM at Brad's house - including all kinds of sugar deserts. About 3 hours later, I tested 119 for Blood Sugar - my wife (RN) says that 119 is "Fine" being that close to a meal, and depending on the website, as long as you are under 140, you are fine. I will test again tonight at bed time, and then again tomorrow morning and update the blog based on those results. My wife says that I should continue te

Sorry to hear about your father as well.. Basically, from reading up on it, Diabetes is so diblilating to the body that it defies explanation. It seems to just destroy tissue, nerves, and otherwise play havoc with your systems. It causes things ranging from liver failure, blindness, amputation, down to heart attacks - which is what got my dad. Within the last year, i've steadily increased the quality of my lifestyle and diet. I used to hardl

Of course, IGN is right there, ready to plant a "93% Editors Choice" award on it - idiots.. I swear the gaming mentality at IGN is of the level of a 14 year old. To this day, I still maintain, Kotor1 was one of the most overhyped titles in history. I found it overall, to be only an average game. But then, I said the same thing about Black and White - overhyped, and way overblown. Years later, I think most people are starting to agree with me. <img

Well this morning the results were dissappointing. I tested 3 times to ensure a fairly reasonable reading, and they were 108,122, 122. So this morning at least, my fasting Blood Sugar was 122, which is above the normal range of 70-110, and indicates that i'm in the pre-diabetes phase already. What i'm finding odd is that I tested normal post meal, and pre-bedtime last night, and my sugar level area WENT UP overnight, instead of down? I can'

Talk about game ending bug, that would totally piss me off. Reminds me of a character I had in "Sacred" a couple months ago, the developers released a patch that killed all previous characters. So a character I nurtured and played for nearly 4 weeks, was gone.. That day I posted the game on Amazon and got rid of it.. Do they not even consider these things? Ugh. Lucasarts has been nothing but a letdown for me, I gave up on their g
