Before doing a reinstall, in the folder GC3Crusade there should be a debug.err file. Either upload it to a file sharing site and share a link here, or simply post its contents.

Go to \Documents\My Games\GC3Crusade and delete the file Prefs.ini If that doesn't work rename the folder GC3Crusade to something else, like GC3CrusadeOld

Are you using the generic driver for the graphics card? I ask because others have had this problem with integrated graphics cards and manufacturer provided drivers. You mentioned it worked before, did any significant changes occur? Like installing a new anti-virus.
