I don't see any problem with making a major religion based upon each of the 6 (possible) elements. If you want your guilds and schisms ... either go with skill-based guilds, or a cult system which amplifies certain aspects of one of the major religions. You don't have to "avoid making major religions" because it will offend people belonging to real world major religions, because its like offending minorities by making non-human races. I mean, just because some fantasy worlds have orcs

Female Soveriengs don't need clothes ... their CHANNELERS!!!! The very fabric of space and time will protect them, they are at one with the very elements clothing wishes to protect us from. In fact ... I think My soveriegn's only clothing will be an all-consuming aura of flame ... a physical manifestation of pure power unleashed of the fire element. Of course, this unleashed power can be temporarily restrained to leave a normally naked body when times require it ... for i

Yea ... civ specific coloring for certain parts of units could prove quite useful ... or a certain colored "glow" about certain units xD ... im thinking the tunics beneath the armor for coloring. However, there are options in some games which you can select to flash your troops green, and enemy troops red ... that might be better than forcing uniform color patterns.

Elemental Religion ideas below Water, Earth, and Wind seem a tad more mellow, although the Wind seems like it would more be a gypsy/nomad religion than a structured organization. Earth does seem like a concrete religion, set in stone and gems ... treating the earth (and nature) with respect ... kind of like a mix of ROK and FOL from FFH2 (a gold loving relig and a tree loving relig) ... while Water and Wind (being opposing spheres) seem more like philosophies,

Agreed. I think at least certain units could be made with two "weapons" and it could use a turn of in-battle play to switch from one weapon type to the other. That way you could keep your ice-blasting dragon slayer sword on your hero as well as your Butcher of Men giant 2H cleaver. Also, certain infantry or cavalry units could carry a large 2H spear and then alternate to a short-sword gladius type for close in-fighting.

[quote who="Wintersong" reply="29" id="2406911"] Quoting zigzag, reply 25Hooray for moral progress! Instead of stripping the clothing off our fantasy women, we're turning them -- literally -- into the reproductive organs of the state. Welcome to a world where biologically speaking they are nothing more than that for the state (well, they are also tax payers). The negative effects of women using their right not to have babies are quite doccumented and one of the effect is the

Try double edged ... it has only one blade. I do like the sword, but we are talking about this. ... most searches take "double blade" and redirect to "double edge" so its a common mistake. First time I saw/heard of such a thing was in the first Neverwinter Nights. http://cn1.kaboodle.com/hi/img/2/0/0/75/b/AAAAAkJNmWUAAAAAAHW8lg.jpg

Oh ... I definitely think that units who kill more enemies get more experience points ... there is no way an even distribution of experience sounds fair. I have a horde of weaklings attached to my soveriegn (or special beast) ... special beast kills everything (and since its natural level is so high there is little chance it will level without some SERIOUS fighting experience (10 large armies ,,, a sovereign or two?) and so I instead get divided experience among the beast and all weak

yea ... keep Soveriegn death = game over as the only option. I'd still like to be able to retreat from a large tacitcal map if my first 3 waves of minions failed/routed, and im down to my last few warriors though :/ .... warriors hold off the heroes/hoard while I duck n run.

Well, if I was actually fighting for my life, I would probably want only ONE sword, with ONE blade, and ONE edge .... also I would like for the part of the blade (about 8 inches) above the hilt to be thicker and dull (no edge) to help with parries. Perhaps the tip could be more arrow-like and double-edged .... although I would basically only want/need to focus on one sword in order to cut into my opponents. I perfer one-handed bladed swords myself, although a two-handed option would b

In addition to guilds, I think we need proper religions. At least 4 elemental religions, and perhaps a religion for death, and possibly an order-eque religion for life? alternatively your life religion could be more "nature based" although I would think earth, wind, and water have plenty of chances for "nature" ... especially EARTH. meanwhile, there should be room for other various cults and religion ... For instance, the main Death religion could be Fiends of the Fallen, a fa

Perhaps a random map generator ... but taking into account of surrounding terrain. If in between mountains, have sloping hills throughout, especially rising towards the edge, growing into unreachable areas eventually. if surrounded by a forest, lightly forested glades interspersed throughout the map with thick growth of forest nearer to the edge. Near a lake or ocean ... and part of the map (up to a third, no less than a tenth) will be unreachable by (most) unit

we need a larger sample size to statistically control for trolls ... preferably cold-call houses and businesses, selected at random, during lunchtime (there-fore perhaps less intrusive) ... lets try for a 500 person sample size. :D I say this because there are 3 votes for Lmnopedia, which makes it currently "tied" in 2nd place.
