Quoting Frogboy, reply 27 I've given some thought to this discussion and looked at the code today and made a few changes. Basically, in subsequent updates of the LH betas, the odds of a monster wanting to attack a city will now be greatly diminished based on the # of units you have in the city and what city level the city is.
I don't mind Monsters attacking my cities, I do mind that they completely ignore AI units/cities/outposts in favor

Also agree with the OP on his two points. 1. In a game now where the AI dropped a city next to a Dragon's Lair, Dragon comes over to MY city 10 squares away to fight (wtf?). I use the cheat console (Control+T) to drop him back to his lair. Really shouldn't have to do this, it's irritating. 2. Due to the auto-end of moving after a combat, I've had to pass on killing mobs because the AI has champions parked next to lairs (10+ turns) waiting for the mo

Dual Wielding Daggers should absolutely happen Dual Wielding Swords. Meh. I would rather see a trait that specializes in using sword One-Handed for a bonus in Damage/Dodge (When no Shield/Weapon slotted in the off-hand)
Anyone who complains about lack of communication and/or support from Stardock is delusional. Sitting at your computer desk playing video games and reading forums does not entitle you to a perfect world.
This I also find it hard to believe people are still whining in this thread.
I really think the tax system needs some love. Currently I set tax to 'low' and don't need to change it the entire game.
Completely agree with this. Unrest is generally so high at Low the idea of pushing for more money by Taxation is hardly ever an option.

I would much prefer to pay a one time per square cost on building roads than to have yet another item requiring upkeep. As it is now there are hardly any times I'm able to move the Taxation beyond "Low". Ever. The counters to Unrest are limited.

He comes equipped with the Defender Path. In the skill tree is the ability to become proficient with Plate Mail. I assume taking this trait has no benefit whatsoever for Tuatha? I would propose then that if a Hero unit is purposely unable to use a Trait (like above), that the Trait in Question is "Blanked Out". Such that if the Trait is "blanked" it can be freely skipped over on the next trait selection. In Tuatha's case; coming from Defender II, hi

I'd expected a movement of 3, putting it on par with Wargs. Ascian's Maul ability is nice, would be even nicer if it could engage in combat before the 3rd round of combat. My current solution is to give it the Blink Ring, which is still kind of irritating

I've been complaining about this what feels like forever. I think the Enemy AI checks to see if a potential Hero is within movement range for recruitment (regardless of Terrain/Units blocking advancement, etc), if the Hero is within range, the AI hires the Hero BEFORE initiating movement to reach the Hero, THEN executes the Movement phase. This gives the AI Stack effectively a Dual Move (or Triple depending on your PoV) and an undefendable Hero location (AI Check ignor

Much of the really old Animation is still amazing when you consider each cell was hand drawn frame by frame. I believe it came out to 20 frames per second. Take a look at this Superman short from 1941. The fluidity of movement is still amazing and IMO better than most modern Anime/Cartoons

I'd rather open road building Tech that could be attached to units I designed than to have the current system where the roads appear out of the ether in a manner that (far too often) doesn't make sense. Much like the OP mentioned.

The only way I can see the groups of 3 or less working is if Heroes didn't count against the group limit. Double-Strike works regardless of the number of units in the stack, you just lose the +3 attack/initiative bonus.

1) The problem is how XP is now split. I agree with an XP split, but the existing split is a bit harsh. 2) There are already buildings that do that, adding another one wouldn't be a bad thing =) 3) Disagree. I would like to get an automatic tree pick after determining a path. It would be helpful and IMO more immersive. And maybe a Free pick from the Traits Tree every "x" levels. Tree progression feels horribly slow. 4) Agree with
Goodness! Who still uses CRT monitors?
Those old 21" Monitors were going for ~$1200 at one point. So I could understand some people's reluctance to pitch them, as they really should. At the shop we generally refer to them as "Boat Anchors"

I don't know if I'd say all generals have had the best armor available. They certainly had the most ornate/decorative armor available, which is not to say what they were wearing was really suited for the field. I would agree it would be a good option to have further down the advancement tree.
