I currently prefer Toshiba laptops from a service perspective. They had some bad product run a few years back which IMHO resulted in better quality control for their current offerings. Dell is just awful unless you purchase their business class, and Acer is kind of dicey about support. Lenovo is good, but they don't have a tech certification standard in place last I checked. HP is a mixed bag, some good, some bad. I like the following as screens in th

I wasn't sure if stuff observed were bugs or not. New to the Beta, but still want to provide constructive feedback. Somewhat expect that many things I'd seen had been observed/reported previously.
I can't begin to say how cool it would be to have some landscape control as an Earthmage as a nod back to the original Populous. Obviously there would need to be some big limitations (and Expensive), but the possibilities are pretty awesome IMHO. Who needs boats when you can Raise a land bridge? Lower a mountain into a hill so as to sneak attack an enemy (or create a mountain pass) Lower a cliff which converts it to a beach front

The tech system is really appreciated by the devs and I really don't think they will change the way it works. A bit of random isn't a bad thing. I just hope they will implement a new rule : "gold techs" that you get for free when you have a lot more levels than the base level of the tech (a level 1

I would think in the case of transferring to another champion via spell, the recipient would also be required to spend their full move as they are standing there acting like an antenna for the transfer. Should help cut down on shenanigans
I think some of these questions/concerns are addressed in the posting for the upcoming release of Beta 2-B https://forums.elementalgame.com/385195
Something of interest, the upcoming Civilization V has removed stacks of doom completely. One unit per hex (love hex maps). It's fairly old news, but I think it goes to point out that even they realize there's a problem with Stacks of Doom. The potential problem here could be alleviated by magic. Spells that randomly scatter units in a stack into nearby hexes for instance.
I also don't like the super-swapping across the map. Accessable from a friendly city "vault" or having the sender use some of his/her spell points would be good. Troops can actually carry found equipment, they just cannot use them.
Something like holding down the left/right mouse buttons simultaneously would let you "grab" the map and allow you to rotate the camera for a better viewing angle?
I was going to make the same suggestions. Used to play another game years ago (can't recall name of it now) that had Right/Left arrows on the city panel for cycling between cities.
Same problem. Even though the game and I know it's there, will not let me build on the space.
I experienced this yesterday with version 2A, so the bug still appears to be an issue.
Was having the same problem, changed the desktop shortcut to launch Elemental in Windows XP compatiblity mode as Administrator. Also disable Anti-Aliasing in game options (ATI video card). This helped a lot.
