Does anyone remember the Unit Workshop from Sid's Alpha Centauri/ Alien Crossfire? Now, that was a decent unit engine for the time. However, upgrade choices in that classic game was only based on tech. I would like to see this based on resources, buildings, and specialists as well. And yes, you will have to have pre-set units. Some folks just want to explore, quest, and conquer. They do not want to have thier event box spammed to make 10 units everytime a new tech,

I am more concerned about how it will stack up versus Age of Wonders:SM. I felt AoW:SM was a bit better game in alot of areas than MoM. (But I could be biased since alot of the DnD gaming groups I was in at the time played it religously... so don't flame me) From what I have read so far, It seems to be a cross with AoW's system where you have one "soveriegn" unit that if defeated, you are defeated. However, without any resurrection or respawn. Good Thing!
