There is a collectors edition in the works, so that will almost certainly be available as a physical disc.
This quote is to be found in the comments on the GameSpy interview article that this thread originally was about. The one who made this comment is the person that actually interviewed Blair Fraser (one of the people developing Rebellion). So as far as I know, a b

I'm sure we are all excited about this, but no need to necro this ancient thread for it. Better post it at the thread that discusses the latest GameSpy interview (even though I mentioned it there already) [e digicons][/e]

I like that the Ankylon now also has beam turrets in it's rear. I'm also starting to like that name btw, Ankylon... hmmm...

Hmmm. I already use Steam for some other multiplayer game I bought quite recently. So I am stuck with their client anyway. It is true that there is a lot of advertising, but I haven't experienced any problems really. I do agree with the people that don't use Steam that it sucks that they are now being forced into using it if they want to play Rebellion.

Some thoughts on the new interview:
Both sub-factions share all the ships and abilities from Sins, plus a new capital ship that launches pods full of marines to board and capture other ships or destroy them from within
Well it looks like the ship boarding stuff so many people requested is going to be implemented after all. Don't know if I should be happy about this or not. I will be, as long as you will not be able to capture Capital ships. [qu

The only benefit I see about using Steam is the fact that they have a gigantic player base, so this means there is probably going to be a crapload of people that will play Rebellion online. I do hope that if it becomes a Steam exclusive game, a permanent internet connecion won't be required in order to be able to play. I really hate it when a permanent internet connection is required even when you want to play in single player mode...

Bit of a necro post but whatever. Where the hell did you find that screenshot? It looks awesome! [e digicons]:(O[/e] I do not think that it is able to change it's shape btw. The disign is most likely altered dramatically. EDIT: Found the location of more Rebellion screenshots: http://uk.media.pc.gamespy.com/media/126/126556/imgs_1.html I recommend checking it out!

The fact that you don't have a lot of supported resolutions is solely because your monitor does not support them though. I play Sins on 1440 x 90

Semaz, all you seem care about is new pieces of code that you can exploit in order to create new mods for this game... The dev's chose this direction because the game testers (whom are presumably people who have never played Sins before), thought it was too difficult to understand when they had to research a subfaction during the game instead of at the start of a new game. I suppose Rebellion is primarily designed to attract people that have never played Sins before to t
are you some sort of unhelpful wikipedia posting bot or something
It is just that I did not quite understand what this thread is about. I thought the poster did not quite understand which resolution is best for him to use, so all I stated was that supported resolutions depend on which monitor you use. So if you use a very small monitor you can probably not play Sins on a high resolution. On bigger monitors, you can cause the game to r
