If I were you I would contact costumer support: https://www.stardock.com/support/ I have no clue what the problem is, but they should be able to help you.
Brad said that he will use 3rd party solution - what 3rd party MP solution would you propose? GFWL?
There will be a third party solution, but besides that you can also just download the game through the Stardock Store, so a third party platform is not at all required to be able to play this game...
One problem though: The Titans look nothing alike. How could the disc be with both of them?
They do not look alike because the image you posted shows only concept art. Concept art just gives a general idea of what the designers want the object to look like in the game. It's final design hardly ever looks the same as the concept art, as you can see in the image I posted above.
Initially we had planned to go this route, but it proved to be confusing to testers. As such, you must now choose to be rebel or loyalist during game setup.
I love it that way! Hoped that you guys would implement it like this (I even suggested it in numerous threads).

The benefit of choosing a subfaction is that you get your hands on a titan, and of course there will be some other benefits aswell, but which these are is still not completely clear. If they would create titans for the neutral factions aswell, it may actually be worthwhile not to choose any subfaction...
It looks like the tip of the energy triangle/circle, from which the brightest beam originates, is the disk. Is that what you mean? In the top right corner.
Yea, that's what I mean. They kind of removed the inside of the disc and replaced it with a floating circle, it seems. In that image, you see what happens when that circle is activated. It shoots a beam from the top of is after creating a triangle of beams inside the

Could you please put some spaces between your sentences? That would make it a lot easier for other people to read it (If you posted this using your mobile phone, than that's the explanation for the spaces disappearing, other people have had this problem as well). Some of your ideas seem to be based on visuals that we have already seen or on information we already have (like the plasma gun from the TEC Rebel titan and the ability to destroy planets from the Vasari Loyalist

That disc is used for devastating capital ships and who knows what else dares to attack that titan. It has nothing to do with that shockwave ability that is show in the teaser trailer (if you look closely, you see that the disc doesn't light up when that ability is activated). Proof for the beam weapon is shown below (remember this one?): <img src="http://pcmedia.gamespy.com/pc/image/article/121/1217222/sins-of-a-solar-empire-rebellion-20120125003933466.jpg" alt="Advent Titan Shoo

This is actually the Advent titan that also appeared in the trailer already. Though as you can see, it's appearance has been altered dramatically.

I think it is more realistic to assume that it actually is the titans main gun (or some ability), instead of some pact or an adopted weapon system from another race (remember the TEC Rebels are the ones that want to destroy the other races, not ally with them).

I am truly looking forward to some graphical improvements. But as you said, it won't be of much use during multiplayer games.

Very nice, karma for you! [e digicons]k1[/e] EDIT: It looks like they added a lot of new debris objects and even complete capital ship wrecks. Also, the part with the Protev Colony frigate being loaded with troops might imply that the TEC gets some sort of invasion ability. This is purely speculative, of course. You can see some TEC Loyalist corvettes in action at 0:23 by the way. Can't wait for the beta! [e digicons]:X[/e]
I've used Paypal to pre-order things, admittedly music CDs and not games, so I wonder if that policy only applies to digital DLs or such? As if so, wouldn't it be possible to set up a pre-order for a physical copy, plus shipping?
Paypal is used for direct transactions. So when you pre-ordered your music CD you probably had to pay for it directly, even though you were going to get it at a later time. Stardock does not charge you im

The old pacts were removed for a reason. Most of them were either useless of too overpowered for a specific race. That's why they replaced them with more balanced pacts.
That would let the Vasari have more resources. Because the resource asterois remain, and no one but the Vasari (hopefully) can build extracters on them.
I do think the resource extractors should be captureable by other players, otherwise this marauding titan would become way too overpowered. Also, I think the player that owns that titan will start off normally with a home planet. Maybe just when the titan has been built,

I like the way the game costumization interface works. But it wouldn't hurt if they though of some way to make setting up a game even faster.
