I could help, but I don't know if I am to be considered a "pro" just yet. Rebellion was also my first Sins edition in which I tried multiplayer. I'm sure I can hand out a lot of tips though. Up to you Star.

Capting is always difficult. I don't think certain rules will make it easier to balance out games, as evaluation of a room always depends upon the guys who are captains. So when you feel afterwards you should have picked different people, it is still your own fault as a captain, basically. Also like How said, rooms are never completely balanced.

Multiplayer Sins really is thriling. You shouldn't be put off by a few people that aren't as respectful as the many other guys who play Sins online. Even though some veteran players - like Ruby, for example - tend to be a bit rude, they do really try to help other people improve in Sins in their own way. I'd recommend every new player to check out some replays made by the pro Sins players so they understand better what they do wrong and how to improve.
