A rather long post... Windows 10 I generally have weak hardware. I like silence (read fanless) and Windows 10 uses more resources than any version before it. It's heavy (try using it on a HDD[e digicons];)[/e] ) without providing anything I want that I can't get in Windows 7 or 8.1. Then there are the privacy and forced update aspects

I was looking at a picture of iPhone X and the word "dildo" popped up in my mind. This smartphone fetish has gone too far. Yes, I'm a bitter man and I'm going to call it iDildo X. [e digicons];P[/e] With a price tag of $1000 you have to put some rubber around it in case you drop it. Innovation is good, but the smartphone fetish has to die. From Wikipedia: "Pastels or pastel colors are the family of colors which, when described in the HSV color space, have high value and low to intermediate saturation" When Wikipedia writes "high value" I guess they mean "high brightness". I don't necessarily want a bright skin. I was more co

Cool, as I wrote before this is something new. I haven’t seen anything like this before. You push skinning tech to the max! [e digicons]:cylon:[/e] [e digicons]5*[/e]
I’m generally not fond of the flat trend, but these themes are really popular. You see them for Windows on Deviantart and for Linux too. I was thinking the other day that it’s strange there aren’t more flat skins on Wincustomize. If you did this skin several years ago then you were ahead of the curve. This one looks really good. I definitely think you should make something s
@AbKu I don't think there is anything special about that theme. It's a nice looking screenshot, because whoever took it made a nice composition (wallpaper, theme, icons, transparency). If you want something like that for Windows check out Pico. It's a little more rounded, but still clean. Elegantly understated as one comment points out. After a while flat can become really flat, nothing that stimulates the eye. Best of all, Pico is a free skin made by George Clooney!!![e digic

I was inspired by Hankers to take this screenshot which I call "Fail Creators Update". Linux will also get more locked down (especially with the new display protocol "Wayland"). So I don't know if creation/customization has a great future on any platform. Everything becomes more "security"-oriented and locked down. And boring, but maybe it's just me. I think those who created the Internet perfectly understood the danger of "someone" controlling the Internet. We should be very grateful for the freedom Internet has given to billions of people. I think the title of this thread is very disturbing. Since when has giving up freedom for "security" been a good idea? Important systems like power production, aviation and others should always be offline anyway. Only a closed system is secure. Internet is actually one of the few areas

[quote who="ed_b" reply="15" id="3682107"] I have no idea why these same skins in WB 10.62, although displayed along with the WB default ones, would not actually change Win 7 appearance despite appearing to load.
