i'm not 100% convinced that something really happened. something looks fishy about this "almost everybody is affected, we don't provide hard facts, but you should buy our product" business plan. i might believe it when Russian media reports arrests. reminds me of those warnings of the antivirus industry about potential iOS-viri that just don't exist in reality. but still, if it works as a reminder to regularly change passwords that's fine.

live tiles on the start menu doesn't make sense in my opinion. MS probably should create a notification center for their phone operating system first, and when they accomplished that, find a way to incorporate this into the desktop. the OSX Yosemite notification center looks pretty great, those tiles on the start menu are just sad.
