I'm seeing a lot of references to Carriers....Right up my alley, I like these ideas, a lot! Also, range of motion on the tiny and small fighters they carry could be better. I also like the idea of Military Bases actually defending their home colonies. Also, would very much like to see the ability for sending attackers Ship to Ship, possibly even taking over the enemy ship (provided the attack is successful).

OK. I'm sure you will know who I am, and pretty sure you know I'm heavily into designing ship more than almost anything else. So, naturally, I'd like to see more ship design elements in version 4, and I really want to see more of the 'jewelry' elements we had in GalCiv2. Also, I'd like the ability to create parts to be a little more practical. I just hate it when a part fails to load, particularly small fighters designed to allow simpler additions to heavier ships as 'escorts. Actuall
So far, so good! Still dealing with instabilities on larger maps, though. I'm pretty certain a graphics card with higher capacity would solve the issue for me, however.
Thank you. I knew there had to be an easy way to do this.
Thanks, Ronin.....I was truly concerned about that. I'm about to try again....unistalled everything and re-installing..hopefully it'll work now.
yes, cheats would be good....they help get past the 'I don't enjoys' so I can concentrate on what I do like.....with experience I tend to drop the cheats once I get more experience with the game's logic.
I'm also having major problems since 6.2....I can no longer even start the game...it crashing during loading. I've tried every fix I can find, and my system either meets or exceeds every game requirement (mostly exceeds...we're talking a crossfire environment 32 gigs ram, 3.5 tb hdd capacity etc. etc. etc.) It was fun while it lasted, but i'm really getting frustrated. And now I've got a friend (who I seriously
I'm sure this question has been answered, but I can't find it.......Did I pay $49 for a game that I get to look at for 2 months, the bulk of which time has been plagued with crashes so severe that much of the time it doesn't even load....and then when the full release comes I'll have to buy again? Now, it hasn't been all negative.....when it has worked, other than never being able to finish a game before it hangs or crashes, it has been fun, but I
My game now crashes every single time I launch it. I tried everything short of uninstalling and re-installing. Trying that now. Also, I have a system problem that may be affecting it some, but I was able to play b4. The issue will be corrected as soon as a part arrives, but.................
STILL TOO MANY CRASHES!!!!!!!
It appears I-mod development center may be history. Is anyone able to access the files that were there? If not does anyone have any of their files that they could share? I had a total hdd failure and unfortunately I (stupidly) failed to have backups stored.
I'm now officially sold on this game. This thread has shown me that I simply can't go on living unless I can play with this most wondrous ship editor. After all, I was one of those weird creatures who actually spent (and still do) hours on end playing with "Star Trek: Starship Creator". And now you show me something I can spend hours, nay, days...weeks...months.......years, doing what I loved most with GalCiv2???? Yup, I'm hooked!
" allow some one to buy it that could not pay full price " This is of high import to me. I'm a disabled vet, living on a fixed income and would never be able to justify the higher prices with my wife (and rightly so) even though she knows how much I've depended on GalCiv 2 to keep me from dwelling on my difficulties. So, even though those who bought in early have justification for the way they feel, at least be pleased for those of us who could
