I do not wish for top of the line. 4x is good enough for watching movies so thats good enough for me. That wasn't my intention, however, why upgrade to a system that is virtually un-upgradable? The second mobo you listed is a much better choice; up to an AMD 3000+ and up to PC3200 with AGP8X.

Save up more money and get a better system, honestly. A better mobo, cause you'll have this for a little and you can do better than up to PC 2700. And you want something at least having AGP8X while supporting higher than a 2600+. I mean, there isn't much room here for a future upgrade. [Message Edited]

I like that Judge. I have Comcast and also live in philly. There is really no other broadband provider for me to switch to. I hate Comcast with a passion; everytime it rains my connection goes downhill (unbelievable rain the past 4 months). Right now, 90% of the pages don't come up and I have to keep refreshing. The support center is no good; the majority of the time I know more than they do and I hate the run-arounds; please turn the modem off for 60 seconds....Arrrrgh. There aren

Wincustomize does not have ads that popup. And you just got an IE virus. Adaware is updated right (along with the newest version?)? It should find it and get rid of it. You use Kazaa? Gator hijacks your browser: http://www.alanluber.com/pcfearfactor/officiagatorpage.htm That link also tells you how to prevent it. Also try Spybot. [Message Edited] [Message Edited]

But a $500 card being outperformed by a $150 card? And for what you said: "The performance paradigm changes here; instead of being bound by memory bandwidth and being able to produce triple digit frame rates, we are entering a world of games where memory bandwidth isn't the bottleneck - where we are bound by raw GPU power. This is exactly the type of shift we saw in the CPU world a while ago, where memory bandwidth stopped being the defining performance characteristic and the a

Such BS. He creates an air of plausible deniability; if he predicts something and it comes true then it's because he's from the future. If not, then it's because of the multi-verse. Such BS!!! "What music do 20 year olds listen to?" "People listen to all types of music. A great deal of it is available over the web. I would also add that people spend much more time making their own music." Gimme a break. He can't anwser simple questions? So vague. Over the
