I appreciate your help Iben. I really do. Editing would be pretty painful since I have 200+ skins. I'm not familiar with Skinstudio at all either.

#10 by Skinner Iben - 5/29/2003 8:47:28 PM Go to basic settings backrounds in configuration window.See if the override box is checked. Nah man, still changes white on reboot. #11 by Skinner Iben - 5/29/2003 8:50
#9 by Skinner Iben - 5/29/2003 8:40:21 PM Exactly what are you trying to do again. I'm a Little unsure. If you click on my name, you will see my desktop icon text is black. I've always had 'apply the skins color theme' unchecked because when I would reboot, the text would change back to white when it was checked. Really wasn't mi
To post # 5: Yes, I know, exactly. I don't have skinstudio installed and that would mean I would have to do it to all 200+ skins I have. I hope I don't have to resort back to Microangelo... [Message Edited]
Nope, changes back to white on reboot. Is there nothing I can delete in this skin's folder? [Message Edited]
It will work, but when I reboot, it changes back to white. There has to be a way around this....
As you may of read in my other thread, I was having problems with Windowblinds skinning the entire display properties background and other backgrounds. I had 'apply the skins color scheme' unchecked and the reason is because I have my desktop icon text black and when I would reboot with that checked it would turn back to white. Checking that, the windows are fully skinned and I've had it unchecked since the first version of Windows I've used. Now with that checked, when I appl
In fact, there was lots of little things not being skinned that I was missing out on....
All shit, that would be it jebland. The reason it was unchecked was because I have my desktop icon text black and when that was checked, every reboot it would turn white. Can't believe I overlooked that... I use TweakXP for my text now and when I reboot it doesn't change back to white so I'm good. Good lookin, I appreciate it.
So what the hell is the name of it so I can get rid of it? I was on the phone with Comcast for over 2 hours with this problem. I'm pretty sure I was experiencing it before Friday though. I'll try to connect to a site, it will say 'page cannot be displayed' then I'll refresh and it'll come right up. Sometimes, the page won't be displayed after 2 or 3 refreshes and then on the 4th it will come right up. Sometimes it just crawls....been fine today.
Bump I am the only one with this problem?
Yeah, the display properties window with Transilvania (among other skins) is all messed up too: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid63/pc0a2c4946b72823f7286551869155f71/fc0f2b6a.jpg The run window is fine though. Nobody else experiences this?
No, no, no, with some skins, both the entire display properties window and the run window is fully skinned like displayed in the screenshot of the respected skin. On other skins, it shows it's supposed to be skinned which is displayed in the screenshot, however it does not fully skin it leaving out the borders like shown above. I believe you are talkin about the Windows Explorer backgrounds? Anybody know whats goin on?
Whaaaa? You mean the same thing happens to you and that feature in Windowblinds 4 has been cut out as of now?
Compare the XP Corona skin screenshot to mine (sorry, Imagestation shrinks my pictures down) Screenshot: http://skins.wincustomize.com/Pixtudio/wb/xpcorona.jpg Mine: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid63/pa3f950df60f7731a3d6c7d3ef1f6a8ad/fc0f88b7.jpg The run backround is not skinned and neither are the borders on the disply properties window. Here is the Longhorn skin on my desktop, same thing: http://www.imagestation.com/pict
Fuzzy I'm all good there and I'm all good there Tryzub. Chas, I use TweakXP and are you talkin about optimizing Memory from TweakXP? Yeah, I also use Diskeeper (which I'm sure you read already) and today it took almost 7 hours to defrag. Only happens on C though and E (which is a partition) is fine along with D and F which are a separate drive. Before, it never took longer than 2 hours. I use ASO or Advanced System Optimizer to optimize my registry. <b
§tatic, I've always had it manually set. KarmaGirl, right now I don't have Windowblinds installed. Windows Explorer still does it. I've noticed my IEs are takin up the CPU usage (with Windows Explorer and watching the processes on task manager). Like I'll have Outlook Express open with 3 IEs and WMP, then I'll bring up Windows Explorer, click on a folder and it'll do it. I right clicked all the IEs on the taskbar and closed them real quick and it stopped whereas
I watched the processes tab while analyzing and also sorted the processes by CPU usage. Like I said, the respected optimizers are takin up the CPU usage. I know it's normal to spike @ 100% and maybe stay there for a little. But the disk activity light stops after 10-15 seconds when analyzing and the CPU usage stays at 100 % for 1-2 minutes. That is not right. Then like I said, after 1-2 minutes, the light will come back on and then stop again, with the CPU usage being stuck at 100%.
Anthony, I did not see your reply when I just posted. The respected optimizers are what is taking up the CPU usage. Like I said, one day I went to analyze and it started occuring. Have uninstalled both with the same results after reinstalling. When I start analyzing, the light will show disk activity for about 10-15 seconds, then it will stop and the CPU usage jumps to 100% for about 1-2 minutes, after following what I said above. No viruses and no trojans,
All I would have to do is click on a folder in Windows Explorer for it to happen. Just one day is started doing it... Weird how I uninstalled Windowblinds 4 and Windows Explorer seems to be acting fine . When I analyze with either optimizer, the same thing occurs. I would really hate to format again...
Hey, this started happening about 1-2 months ago. I'm on XP Professional and a 750 AMD w/GeForce 2 and 512 megs of ram. When I go to Windows Explorer and click on a folder, everything would refresh and Sysmetrix would read 100% CPU usage and it would stay like that for about a minute. I close Windows Explorer, let it finish and when it's done open it back up again and everything is fine. This happens everytime I reboot. It also happens when I optimize and analyze. I use No
Good lookin Voodoo. I first seen it on your Longhorn skin. I was like where the f*** did this come from? Couldn't stand the ones on the Windows Reloaded skin; yours were ok though.
Oh well duhh, don't know why didn't I think of that....I just deleted them. Good lookin out mormegil.
Ok, so I noticed this first on the Longhorn skin and now the Windows Reloaded skin. Imagestation shrinks it down. Bottom right, big blue circle with a musical note: http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid62/pf648f9af057571aad630ad41284788d8/fc1bf191.jpg The Longhorn skin had a smaller image with a little girl and was bearable. There are other images with something different in the middle with this skin. First, has anybody else noticed this? Second, I
Hehe, the first time I edited, it spaced everything out much much more than what I initially did. Thus, all the edits .
