I put in a support ticket. Support quickly responded, showed me where to find my complete product list including Skin Studio 11. I downloaded it, cleaned system of 10, rebooted and installed Skin Studio 11, all works properly. To those here that offered assistance, thank you!
I do NOT have Skinstudio 11 listed in OD nor Skinstudio 10.1. I happen to have the Skinstudio Exe 10.1 installation program. Even after I delete the above referenced WB file in ProgramData Stardock, still Skinstudio wants to activate WB by putting in my activation #. WB won't install Window blinds, either, it freezes. I just uninstalled WB 11 and Skinstudio 10.1. Rebooted and reinstalled WB 11 from OD, seems to be working. However, I have NO Skins
I uninstalled Skinstudio. Now, it's not listed in my OBDT and can't find the link to download it. The only option I found was a Buy option.
Yes, activated WB11. Did NOT install Skinstudio, as it's not listed in OBDT? This morning, the activate dialog shows up, but now I can't input my activation number???
I have been a subscriber for years. Running latest Win10, and Windowblind 10, until recently when I removed WB10 and installed Windowblind 11 from Object Desktop, which is paid until next year. Any time I go to open a Desktop app, like Skinstudio, it asks for activation, WB does the same. I followed the online advice, and deleted the WB file found in ProgramData/Stardock, and noted it in my cleaner, yet it still keeps asking for Activation.
I have 10.82 installed and went back to the standard OD app, and it works fine on my system. Yesterday, OD notified me that 10.84 is again available. Can someone share what benefit there is to switching to 10.84?
Curious, I just attempted to open OB Desktop for 10.84 and got a big dialog box saying Servers Down, etc., etc., If 10.84 was pushed, where to? I also looked under Windownblinds About: it says no updates found. Have a good day..
I have system-wide backups done weekly on all computers. I just overlooked the most recent backup until 10.82 was staring me in the face.[e digicons]O:)[/e]
I am not a gamer but been a Stardock subscriber and user of WB for a long time, and I buy some skins. As a user of Win 10 Pro, the thought of WB going the way of the Dodo bird is not at all pleasing. Should I be looking for future options? Microsoft 10 skins are not at all appealing, especially cause I look at my computer screen much of the day.
I usually backup everything. In this case, however, update was done though Object Desktop subscription. I figured Stardock would make prior versions available to subscribers for cases such as this. I have made sure my company does that for our customers.
Hello, I noticed the WB toolbar painting issues as well as it not painting Firefox. Was that known prior to uploading it? Anyway, where do I find 10.82 version? I didn't have any issues with that one.
Great - except 10.83 isn't working with Firefox. I understand the WB challenge so want to reinstall 10.82 which did work. Where do I find 10.82?
Sorry if this is the wrong place to post. Move it if desired. Since the recent update I have a red box covering the "X" on the "Preview Pop up Close Button". It's the same on every WB and don't have a clue how to fix it.
