^ You say yes, he hands over https://www.reddit.com/r/starcontrolorigins to you. You invite all the founders there and we talk there instead of here, 'cause it's just a better platform.
I don't know how I missed this thread. Lol. Ignore the lighting here but alien dialog changes and UI changes are starting to go in this month. Putting aside the lighting and the 2D background, what I'm happy with is that the characters are procedurally animated with full lip syncing to the voice actor.
I'll tell you how you missed it. IT WASN'T BOLD LIKE REGULAR TH

^ Yeah, but i think they "evolved" into drop-off drones after internal testing. Unless drop-off means something else like deployment?.. And yeah, tractor beam made Avatar a complete ship.
I have it playing on loop right now in my media player.
I'm gonna blast it out of my truck speakers on the way home today. :P

^ Yeah, except Avatar is better, 'cause drones followed your ship. And this is made to where your opponent has a huge chance to avoid them completely since they are drop-off and stationary (?). The main gun being short ranged doesn't add to versatility at all. The only way I see this being played semi-effectively is running away, plopping drones behind yourself and letting your enemy chase you. Another, not a much better strategy is plopping drones around yourself and turtling up (eff

The Title track. Listened to it non-stop for about 10 times. LOVE IT!! Memorable, catchy, not over the top, just right!! I approve it being serious, dark and gritty!!! Keep the drama in the game! Gave me goosebumps! Thumping is stupendous!! Dirty, ragged distortion sounds SICK!! "Middle-Eastern" harmony adds mystery and menace - just what Space feels like to me when I play Star Control. The first 2 minut

We're talking about SCO here. Let's not talk about imaginative instances unless they are directly related to SCO. I haven't read anything about anything infinite here. I don't think people associate infinite with PG. Not here at least. Stardock said that SCO galaxy will have 5-6 clusters the size of SC2 each (506 star systems). And about a year ago I suggested to have pre-made constellations, configurations we're already familiar with. But that's not even up to

^ I remember what I said, nothing I mention is my final decision here (not until any type of hands on), I hope that's understood. We're just bouncing ideas with whatever little info that we have. My reply was to Kavik's idea of zoom levels. I don't think we need levels (if we have to have zoom) - it makes zooming interrupted and not fluid/continuous as dynamic zoom. I don't see a problem in PG'ing the galaxy/cluster map. Do you? But I'm all for hand designed planets here and there.

What do you mean neat? It's
With gas giants, it would be strange, I think, to explore both rocky and gaseous planets with the same lander. Maybe you need a different vehicle to explore them.
You need to read here: https://forums.starcontrol.com/479700/page/1/#3651241
I am not a NMS player
You should've stopped right there. NMS creatures are PG, SCO are not. Let's get that out of the way first, so you're no concerned about seeing ridiculous looking creatures (which was the case with NMS). NMS planets while repetitive in nature as all things PG are fantastic. The PG variable limits could've been wider to make for example tota
Having just a crew value to represent ship health seems woefully antiquated.
It's retro, that's how SC2 ship health mechanics worked and WE LOVED IT THAT WAY.
There's an opportunity now to mix it up and expand on it, and not make every ship have the same boring crew count meter.
I'd love that more than anything
