^ If it makes you feel better, you had to get into program 1 year ago (the very first wave). ;)
Given what Frogboy said, it would be pretty easy to add new systems and alien races without impacting existing ones. I'm assuming a bit here, but think of it as expanding known space rather than dropping a new species into "known" space.
This had been touched upon very briefly in Founder's forum as it wasn't 100% decided. Probably still isn't.
The story starts before any alien contact, Pyro. First interstellar ship, something happens, blah blah, humanity meets Tywom and so on.
^ And they're still unbolded when new replies come in... "I mean, come on, people" - BO 2016
Some observation about NMS floating POI and/or resources markers: A lot of player hate them, 'cause they obstruct the view. Especially with multiple marker counts. Often players used markers as their gun reticle (myself included) which resulted in major annoyance and irritation. Mods were created to remove them or players went onto turning off HUD altogether. I personally, don't feel the need for a map or markers on a planet that I ca
I don't want flat land exploration when I can get 3D. I don't want Stardock to spend their resources on it either.
Is forum facelift guy color blind? Just asking...
^ I think you're like second Finn in the founder's program.
Thou shalt have some form of shadows for the ones who upgraded their 286 to pentiums. Thou shalt make as many transitions as seamless as possible. Including Ship Upgrade screen, Alien dialog screen, Space Station screen if there's such, space - hyperspace - quasi-space transition and vice versa. Thou shalt pay great deal of attention to UI. I can do this all day and it feels sooo satisfying (fps are higher on site): htt

^ LOL. So far 50% of my bets are actually paying off.
I bet we will have a lot larger planets than the teaser planet and a bit smaller ones too.
P.S. Smiles/emotes button in reply is broken.
^ Exactly. SC2 was never a fast paced adventure. Except for melee and super dangerous planets. Which struck a perfect balance to scratch any kinda itches. I bet we will have a lot larger planets than the teaser planet and a bit smaller ones too. This is highly expected by me. What I don't want to happen is that different size planets to look the same size on the planet scan screen. But with this landing mini-game nonsense I bet we'll be forced to see gas
Let the hazing commence.
^ Us? I didn't sign up for that shizz... :P @veraxus Vaelzad mentioned that he has motion sickness and the game doesn't trigger it, so I don't know. I don't have a problem with planet size. But I feel like lander's speed could be a bit slower, considering there's a boost mechanic. What I can tell you is that I wis
^ What about arenas where if the ships are at the opposing edges of it your ship turns into 5x5 pixels plop and you can't even tell its orientation?....... What if there are hazards around you at that time?... Whatchu gonna do then, genius? As I said before, we have to try it out before dishing out the final verdict on all 3 main points. Arena size matters, ships abilities matter etc. etc.
Thinking more about this I wanna add: 2. If we're trying to get multi-ship combat then AI has to be pretty dam good. Which is not possible. As someone mentioned before it's impossible to script adaptive AI with different personalities in this scope of work. The max you can do is fake it. That will never work with advanced players. I envision it being like this: Oh, my idiots AIs are attacking that ship, I have to follow 'em... Or everyone will split into pai
I'd pay another $25 for my favorite font (#13) to be in the game. :P
OP, you need to be a founder.
^ Make sure it's not 5 screens long.

As a Founder I must say SCO is extremely promising. And it's the biggest game in Stardock's portfolio (shows how serious they are) if other stuff doesn't convince you.
