I finally installed the drive and restored a TrueImage backup from a slave drive. I ended up going with Acronis for the incremental backup feature. I cannot believe how easy that was. Usually installing a new drive meant days of getting everything re-installed and reconfigured. Now that I'm back up I was w

Oh, ok. I believe you. I had to restore a My Documents folder that spanned across multiple disks and it took -hours- of swapping disks to do it. Well I do have another drive in the PC, might do it that way. Thanks a bunch everyone, btw.

Especially if you are restoring an image to a drive that is a different size than the original. Oh really, does that cause problems with backups on DVDR? I will be restoring to a drive that's a very different size. ACK I didn't know this was so co

But how much is your data worth to you? LOTS. I don't even want to THINK about losing the contents of any of my drives. And I only gave System Restore about 500 megs. Not that it really backs up data anyway does it? Well for some lovely r

I got my tax refund and was FINALLY able to get a new drive to replace my 14 gig C drive. > It should be here in a few days. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=22-144-122&depa=0 Anyway I have XP Home and I really want to be able t

Btw Stockholm Syndicate you can choose to tell Xp which icons you want to constantly show up in the tray. Right click on the taskbar and choose properties. Then next to the icon for Hide inactive icons click the "Customize" button. Then you can choose to Always hide, or always show or hide when inactive a tray icon.Hope that helps you there. Than

Funny I was just talking to someone about this. When my subscription is up I will renew it, as well as continuing to buy the occasional goodie from the WinCust store and continue to purchase essorant, Pixstudio, etc suites. Problem is I'm not sure how many people would continue renewing regardless, I think folks might want something "extra" for their $20. I haven't seen the subscriber offerings updated in as long as I can remember. Those premium suites..umm...well I don't want to b

Pretty sure, yes. It's listed in Alexandrie's portfolio on Pixstudio as a Windowblinds 3 default. http://www.pixtudio.com/portfolio.php?pagenb=4 (scroll down to the very bottom) Some other WB3 beauties here too. http://www.pixtudio.com/portfolio.php?pagenb=5 There's something strangely appealing about those old skins, they still look great today IMHO. <img src="http://images.stardock.

Ok that response was not at all helpful, sorry. If you want to see the penguin Nick Smith posted, just remove the space and paste this into your browser. http:// www.dslreports. com/r0 /download/575859~ce9a0cadca4a6ae36c448f33d2f08f06/penguin.gif [Message Edited]

Hi could anyone tell me if it would be possible to get Alexandrie's XP Platinum skin that came with Windowblinds 3? I'm wanting it and can't find it anywhere. Or I'd buy one of the WinCustomize Library CDs if it's on one of them. I have my Windowblinds 3 installation file but I really don't think it'll be a good idea to install that version to get the skin. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smile

Yup that's the guide I use, that Satans Child posted. I use IconWorkshop, StuffItStandard, and a program called Flexible Renamer. It's handy when you get a big pack you want to convert, so you can change the file extensions over quick and easy.
