I don't use OE for that very reason. I use Thunderbird. My understanding (limited, for sure) is that Thunderbird doesn't have complete virus/worm protection, but it's a whole lot better than OE. Am I deluding myself. I do use Ad-aware, Norton AV, ZoneAlarm and Spyware Blaster. I think the problem with OE is that in its default config, it's not s

I think this person is talking about a popup from a web page, could be the dang Messenger crap too though. > I started running this program called SpywareGuard that scan in the background like an AV and prevents any of that crap from getting installed. http://www.wilderssecurity.net/spywareguard.html

I know of several sites that don't write the e-mail adress and the "@" character, but instead places a gif-image so they won't get spammed etc. Maybe Stardock could learn from that. Check this link out, even though it's in Danish (you can view it in English), you'll still see that the e-mail is indeed a gif-image: Yeah, another site I'm on does

You don't sound like a troll at all GoatRider. Welcome. I have DesktopX running at startup on all my machines. On a couple of machines I just use a blank theme with a weather object, maybe a clock. I guess I mostly use it to customize the standard Windows interface in ways I couldn't do so easily without DX. On my main machine I usually use this one. https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.asp?

why use anything but the google toolbar for pop up stopper? The google toolbar doesn't block ads, banners, ref logging, etc does it? (I don't know, I don't really use the bar too much) I use Proxomitron. With a good custom filter set, It does a lot more than the google bar does. Here's the filters I use. <img src="http://ima
