I have another question: is it possible to create an equalizer .dream (or as an effect). would looking cool when you listening to some music.
i belive VLC has this option. BUT i don't see why it shouldn't be possible to make a dream that does this, it's a dll file you make to work the background, so you just need to monitor you sound output audio bars would be the easiest to make, bec
what happens when you have more then 4 cores
it should be adabtive to the amount of cores and cpu if it turns out badly,i will make seperate dreams for different amounts of cpus
well i didn't think this many would like the ideer so i thought i could just take my time with it... i don't really have time before summer (exames) but when im done, i will get some of my friends to help me with the animations and such but until then you guys can post surgestions for it here...

Hi I can see that there is an option for dynamic content in the dream maker if it's not possible for the useres, it would be awesome if you stardock guys would make a background that reacted to the computer temperature, and load i was thinking something along the way of a ring of fire where the color shows the temperature and the length of the flames shows the load of the different parts of the computer
Interesting article from an anti-trust lawyer about Steam actually not beeing a monopoly: http://www.gamesbrief.com/2010/06/steam-is-not-a-monopoly/
this article is quite intresting, because the way he argues, you could argue that windows isn't a monopoly, by saying that it is software and that even thought a large amount of people own it it is acturly a rather small piece of the software sales of the world
Steam also have the flaw of downloading the installed game instead of running a setup of compacted files which is really stupid when trying to install larger games take "The Witcher" as an example, if you use an iso mount it would be 5 GB i guess, steam downloads the entire installed game which is larger than 30 GB in order to install it.
well they tried copying ea by makeing a more annoying anti piracy system in which case they propperbly didn't hear that spore was the most pirated game ever, most just pirated it to anoy EA so now they are proberbly thinking something like, "how do we piss on the consumer even more?, lets make them pay us for re-selling their games!"
Then the crocodiles would bounce off the hull of their spaceships. -Twilight Storm
you forgot a question
does anyone know a good iso ripper thats free i need one to copy an old game thanks
then you would never have meet the love of your life... What if you tried to build a spaceship With a cannon that shoots crocadiles at everyone you hate?
SSD's are nice, if you have the cash. They'll probably be standard equipment 10 years from now.
i don't even think it will take 2 years for them to become standart. in 10 years we will proberbly be using the next thing, maybe even quantum hard drives (harddrives with the binary closeness of the basic atom, where 0 and 1 depends on the way the electron is turning)
well im still waiting for the price to fall to a more reasonable level and fuzzy logic if your missing write speed on the drive you should get one of these http://www.ocztechnology.com/products/solid_state_drives/ocz_z_drive_p84_pci_express_ssd i go in drewl mode when i se one of these it has to use pci-express in order to keep up with op to 780 MB/s
hi guys was wondering if anyone else has noticed that the office team is skipping nr.13 and calling 2010 14 pritty laughterble that programmers are supersticus
what game are you talking about again edit: nevermind, didn't se i was in a tab for elemental
i would like a good math add-in for ms office 2010, they had the free ms math add-in for 2007 which worked nicely, but dosn't work with 2010 yet.. :(
does this include non game fullscreen apps, like when im running a movie in WMP and does this both include 86x and 64x?
im on a win 7 64x and i runn all i the dreams fine, they use about half my ram but, besides that. also if it eats to much check if your running any effects, it sems to be real time rendering, in my chase it eats half of my 2.4 quad phennom. btw. i think it's a good idear to have 3gb or more so it dosn't have to re-render the graphics constantly i have a 8800gt, 4 gb ram and a 2.4 amd quad so it might be because of my high specs i run it so smoth
like the title says i would like deskscapes to shut of when im playing games, its eating my ram, so i have to shut it off when playing games it should be made automatic, like screen savers are shut off when running most things in full screen
