I'm getting this when trying to update... Decompression error. Access to the path 'C\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Stardock\Impulse\Temporary\ExtractedFiles\objectdockplus2\Base\Backgrounds\Tabs\BlackOps\Thumb.db' is denied.
The issue is with long path & file names. The decompression process breaks if the temporary files path becomes longer than Windows allows for (usually on XP Systems). To work around this, do the foll

Can you post a screen capture or video of what you are seeing?
can i use an image as a background for my fences?
Not currently. I think it would be neat to have brushed metal fences.[e digicons][/e]
Great...that's not cool. Will this change once the world mana appears?
Not that I know of, but I am not a developer. I'll post if I find out differently.
Does essence return to your Sov if the champ/hero you have imbued dies?
After casting, essence is permanently reduced from the sovereign.
Try uninstalling Fences completely and then run the file below: http://sd.stardock.com/curtHendzell/clear_fences_settings.reg Once you do this, reboot and reinstall the latest version through Impulse.
You can download the offline installer, then transfer it to the PC without an Internet connection. http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com Sign in with your Impulse account to access the installer/archive files for your software. Currently only Stardock titles are available via Impulse Anywhere. When you activate, you will be prompted to do a manual activation.
I thought it was not compatible but I don't see a problem
Not all of the features are supported. For example, the start menu docklet doesn't work.
It is spreading trees automatically in my territory, which make no tiles for the city to build improvements. How to chop the trees?
Trees shouldn't spread. You can remove the tree tiles by casting a spell that destroys tile, such as blistering sands.
I'm still a little confused about food
Fertile land, wild wheat, pumpkin patches and an oasis all provide food. You need to build on these resources to harvest food.
is there just one book in this game
More to come..
Which version of Elemental are you using? If you don't have the necessary resources to build a ship, it will show up as grayed out on the unit training menu.
How do i go about downloading the patches to Elemental?
An Internet connection is required on the machine that Elemental is installed on to download updates. Alternatively, you can download the latest version of the game through Impulse Anywhere and do a full installation: http://anywhere.impulsedriven.com
In the first SS above I have every box at the bottom except Drivers.
Hmm.. the possibilities are that you: a.) Have Impulse set too narrow, so not all buttons can be displayed b.) Have not-so-typical video hardware c.) Have an old version of Impulse and need to update
What? One thanks wasn't enough? Sheesh!!
Heh. I'm greedy... is that such a sin? Oh... wait
Open Impulse, click the "Community" tab, then the "Drivers" button at the bottom-right of Impulse.
I've noticed that recources even within the sphere of influence and built on may not "link up" to the closest city.
Currently, a resource needs to be close enough to a city to link.
is there some way to tweak or mod the game files to allow cities to link to all rescources with their given influence?
I believe this is hard-coded
Explain me pls what is the difference between "epic" and "normal" pace?
Epic - slow pace Normal - normal pace Fast - fast pace
Is the turn button grayed out? What about when you exit Elemental, then load the save game again? Can you please save your game to dropio and post the link? Also, your debug.err file under: %userprofile%\Documents\My Games\Elemental could be useful. You can get to dropio here: http://www.drop.io/
Nice work
Seems to be, Thanks Shirley!
...and Dewie! [e digicons]^_^[/e]
Is the performance better when you disable outlines under the video options?
Netbooks are not currently officially supported. If you run with cloth map only, and set the resolution to "Custom" in game, then enter the following in 'Prefs.ini': DisplayWidth=1024 DisplayHeight=576 Then you may be able to play. Also, hooking up an external monitor should work.
We have seen this recently in internal testing. If you have a way to reliably reproduce this, please let us know.
I haven't seen this before. Does this happen after a particular action? Are you using the Hardware Cursor option?
must be a another randomness problem. there are either too few or too many (insert random resource here) every time you start a new map.
Resources should not be that rare. What do you have the world difficulty set to? Note that the easier setting, the more resources will be available. The only resource that is guaranteed to be near you is a fertile land tile.
