Reply to Why it's not too difficult to run Windows 10 Technical Preview in Personal Computing WinCustomize Forums

I burned a disk and just went for it on a full install to my main drive. I did of course back up all of my documents and such to an external drive just in case. But I have to tell you that I'm very pleased so far with how everything is going. Speed wise , things are pretty snappy. I'm using WindowBlinds 8 , Start8 , and Iconpackager, and so far ,everything is performing without a hitch !!! I'm very impressed so far. I also love the fact

I'm using the Win 10 Preview and Windowblinds 8 is working great. I'm also using the latest Start8 and everything is magnificent , and the real clincher here for me is that Iconpackager is also working great !! All in all , I'm very happy and excited with things so far. -- Ace --

In my opinion, if I were you , I would definitely stick with Vista. Despite the fact that it was not well received during it's era , my experience with it was very pleasurable. I never had any major problems and it worked like a charm for me. I also liked the quality of the graphics in Vista. Although I now use Windows 7 exclusively, I still have my original Vista Ultimate install disk and consider it one of my favorites in my software library. &nbsp

OK , I installed it and everything is working just fine. I tested things out by going to a plethera of webpages that I visit on a daily basis , and I find that they load way faster than they did in IE and I'm not experiencing the jerkiness I did with IE when trying to scroll the pages. Also , in addition to what Wizard has stated , some disc burning software has an option box that you tick to close the disc so that new files cannot be added to it after the burn is completed. Make sure this option is NOT selected if you are using rewritable disks in the drive. -- Ace --
