Think a pro-democratic government plus "homeland security" and "patriot act"..the FEAR of Vasari invasion (Independence Day) and Advent forced conversion (the Ori) would make for some pretty loyal citizenry.
I'll be playing this game for years. No patch is unappreciated. This game can be played by lan or net, picked up at bargain prices and is moddable. Woot! So when is this patch out or where is the thread?

Regardless of where things land with IC, TSOP may well have insured this game remains a modder's classic. You would be amazed at the games I hung onto and still play (Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, for example). Here's the reasons this game can be a classic no matter what it's developing company decides: 1) It plays well on lower end systems (compared to current new machines). 2) It is customizable and moddable). 3) It can be played via lan. 4)

I'd still say, make an option for the number of SC. Relase two versions--one with the full number and one with only one craft per squadron (I'll play that one). Then test them to see if they do make a large difference in play enjoyment and bottlenecking.
