Maybe you should call it... "State of Armed Conflict Sufficiently Advanced to be Indistinguishable From Magic" I'm pretty sure that one's not taken and I'll waive my rights to it as it's creator.

Corvettes are not sexy cool and have a lifespan measured in seconds.
It doesn't even have to kill the titan itself--just make it more vulnerable to being killed would work. Where it would matter and make a big difference would be in an evenly matched titan-fleet battle but where one side had the hunter and the other didn't. This would apply at any stage of the game.
I'm so sorry.
The hit points of the thing make this tougher to pull off. If it was more vulnerable it would be routine--but if it was more vulnerable, it would be easy to have your opponent get momentum and never recover.
Agreed with the above. There is a possibility Wail might be changed to affect friendly as well as hostile forces though. That could have a big impact.
YW. Glad you guys stick with it. The more modding, the better the game.
Iron Sky's team apparently heard my cry and whiel Sins of a Solar Empire's DoV team haven't added Nazi space diribles there is at laast a game that has. Based on the movie, now the game: http://www.ironskyinvasion.com/en/news.html
Seleucia--it isn't a given that all the perspectives people have on balance are correct. There's a lot of room to look more closely at how people are playing and look hard to see if there are avenues being missed. There has never been an asymmetric game that I know of that was perfectly balanced. Unless it's an incredibly simple one, it isn't going to be possible. So you/we can spend a lot of time discussing ever finer deg
No. There are legitimate times where modders have questions that require some insight into hard coded limits or info on things not directly accesible. I don't expect an intern to have the answers but if aa significant question was posed by modders he or she might be in a position to ask Ironclad directly. My reasoning is that I don't think the developers can possibly have time to catch all the posts, requests and discussions on the forums and occasion
We need a serious forum--for sure.
You know what, you get Karma for still believing in us.
Zombie's karma will be mine...oh yes...it will be mine. All contributing modders are good modders...period.
Man, I have to say, you really root for these guys. Great concepts and presentations there...not to mention a cute German chick on their team as well. [e digicons]:inlove:[/e]
Dear Sirs and Madames, I just wanted to pitch the idea that it would be great if you had an intern or anyone who worked for you who specifically acted as a liason to the modding community. Not so much a full-time thing for them but someone to whom group or common requests or questions could be made who might post an answer--specifically involving incompatibilities or limits or answers to modding questions that might require some behind the scenes info. It woul
It's funny...I tend towards green and blue ambient stuff (aside form the big bada-booms). SOA2 is incredible and made me realize how much I need to upgrade my cpu as well. Is it my imagination or did I see some shield effects in there with the partial shields like the other poster is working on?
Take the hint: "look sharp".
Glad you guys are still in production. It's worth waiting for it and it will be really nice for you guys to be "current" again in the mainstream.
We live in a culture where a lot of directionless youth is focused on bits and pieces of things that really don't mean much in the long run. A failure to distinguish interest from value. Now we look for interventions from Lady GaGa, Kardashians and ponies.
A tournament mod has long been needed for the pro-players who want a controlled and set environment for competitive play--it's just getting everyone to agree on what is "canon fair" that's almost impossible. Sure, balance is also a current WIP in Rebellion too--that's a given. But the big issue for everyone is the dynamics of the game have changed and the consequences of a lucky break or mistake in a game action have a lot more s
I was making the names of the "Pirates" for my little pirate mod yesterday but realize now that the only way I can justify putting some of these guys names on them is if I rework the voice and text and graphic files to display and announce "trolls" instead of pirates. I'll see what's involved in that tonight. "Troll forces have left their base!". Then there will have to be a Troll Treaty for TEC...man, a lot to do on this. Oh--I'm sorry for discussing
Ok--only problem here is putting it in the Rebellion topic. Seriously.
I'd prefer to pay good money for a good game up front--not for pieces of one tacked together.
We could balance it by letting starfish target corvettes. [e digicons]:andrew:[/e]
This mis one of the best mods to the one up there that hasn't played it. Lots of fun.
"If you'd like to try your pistol now to defeat this boss, a pistol may be purchased through DLC by clicking here." "Great. you've decided to buy the pistol! Did you want ammo for that?". "You are now equipped with a pistol--loading, aiming and firing skills can be purchased now in order to use it." "Fantastic--you are now equipped and trained in combat with a loaded pistol! Would you like to view the combat resolution with your pistol versus this b
