hm, do you know those picture frames with large singlecolored "borders" inside (actually a paper overlay that is put behind the glas, but infront of the actual picture)? the visible area of the photo is pretty much ...say 60% or less of the area of the picture frame. this is mostly used for photos of single objects, portraits and similar stuff. the large monocolored border centers the viewers attention to the object in the middle and with some motifs this might work g
