Update on the happy accident between volumetric explosions mod and Flagship 5: kay, so a little more testing and I found out, Tec isn't effected, their stuff explodes into dust ^^. Advent and Vasari seem to be the only ones with the post death lost in space drift. The dead vasari and advent ships remain viewable as icons in the gravity well but arent on the display on the left anymore. again, admitibly cool, but it still causes some memory drag. Gonna switch back to useing this with tsop and

I remember when I first got Sins, Downloaded it illegally like most of my pc games ^^. But hey I bought it after a half a year :p and that was 'cause I was so frustrated not being able to use alot of the drool inducing mods that littler this lovely forums. I have probably 20 different mods in my mods folders, all cycled out, up to date and played lol, I've even been getting a few friends to buy this(Even workin on the Mrs.and her sis, they're closet trekies, but a mod fix should get them fair

Well B's Graphic mod + flagships 5.0 cause derelict graveyards lol, I have flags over balknights graphics mod on the list, but id didn't do the same thing with 3.0, does it with 4.0 too lol think somewhere between 3.0 and 4.0 you changed something(I think the timer /scuttle,new flagship thing) I re downloaded both mods, yours and the graphics mod and re-stacked them the same and it still happens lol Edit: Think I figured it out, volumetrics explosions is mixed in with b

ok, this is awesome, but at the same time, possibly game killing lol. ALL ships besides caps/flags/cargo ships STAY when destroyed, admittedly cool when they fly off into open space n fire leaving a trail(yay graphics mod) but I'm wondering if this will cause quite a bit more drag on the memory and cause the heavy 2 gig wall to fall again. Anyway I'm still havin fun ;p but if ya manage to isolate this problem, give them like a 5-10 min timer, 'cause it's seriously fun to watch them, every bat

lol I got all excited. Though you had it up and finished xD. Good work tho, dunno how my comp will complain about the 6 races yet tho =p but it runs DS pretty well so it shouldn't be so bad(especially with opti intigrated.) Speaking of DS think you could ask to use their reworked mines? cuts the amount to about a 4th but makes them a little more powerful, usually I can cruse right through a mine field and barely get scratched in the normal game, think it would be a nice add-on to this when yo

It's easier to dl the Uzii galaxy forge editor files, most of the maps people made and posted are either super large or incredibly tiny. Besides, map making's fun, and you can make YOUR galaxy ;) personally I like 4 factions split by a huge magnetic cloud/nebula around the sun, plenty of pirates, gas giants and set up so that refineries and trade ports are maximized in their efficiency ;p if you want that map I could send it, but the version it is now is for Distant stars

yeah I learned a bit about those like itune's auto search update BS Bonjur and about the 5 other itunes related crap that runs regardless of the program being opened or not, still don't go into the rundll to fix the problem though so that's my own fault, to gun-shy that I might halt it from working(not that I don't use it for much more than a music player now that my ipod up and stopped being compatible with my computer, that's a whole other can of worms though >.>)

Yeah I feel bad now, I almost forgot harpo and I just read through like 3-4 of his helpful occurrences :o sorry harpo if you read this =X...man I even Karma'd him too, how the hell'd I forget him. Anyway, wow 640 megs, maybe my comp's just moody. I'll give it another try when I've got a better understanding of what I'm gonna be trying to do, 'cause if I break this one I'm gonna have to bust my ass to save up for a new one before that grant money comes in, and 3 months seems far away when you

I tried editing once, my comp isn't up to the task, it's about 5 years out of date except for the vid card and it's memory, they're only 3 years out of it (barely have 2 gigs of ram) converting from tga to dds takes a decade(20-30mins a file) for some reason so I gave up till I get a new comp(but! thanks to grants and government funding it's a high possibility I'll be updating this one, or obtaining a new one ^^) but thanks about the dev journals and forums though. I'd still like to come here

so this is already fixed in TSOP and there's no need to make the file if you use the awesome brain child of Stress that has been shapen and grown by Civ and fist right?

[quote who="Stant123" reply="3664" id="2769342"]As for LAA (Large Address Aware), it's been posted time and time again as a fix and that's just bullshit. Awareness does not equal ability. The switch only allows a program to use larger addresses so that it's not in direct competition for RAM that's in use by other programs that do not have it enabled. It, in no way, shape, or form, allows a 32 bit program to use more RAM. 2gigs is the limit for 32bit software. Onl

Holy crap =O I put 4 of those at every sun and do the full culture upgrades when I'm addy. No wonder I lose the capability to look at the stuff around the suns about 3/4 of the way into the game lol Edit: Also, congratulations on the subjugation of the biggest data spam the cruel/vicious comps like to unleash. I'm definately looking forward to the Starbase weight loss program =D (also kinda wish there was a mod to make mor abilities for them but, stupid hard code and su

Right hand side above all the mod organize/enable options, should show up after you enable a mod, no mods = Checksum 0 it's also important what order the mods are in in the list because a different order is a different checksum(and some occasions a minidump)

well if not clouds it'd be nice to have traffic going to and from them(then again that might look a little funny with the planet elevators) but man that looks so nice. and if you manage to get the longistics and such to increase depending on what type of planet orbits the other that would be amazing :O and somewhat realistic(I mean if people can live on it they can live on it right? ;O) maybe something like a tec to increase them like(Binary Colonies increases Population by XX%) o

I wouldn't mind if clouds and such passed between the 2 binary planets, could get a whole shared atmosphere thing goin(the share logistics and such anyway) I love the mod(but my comp cries a little when I use it) mostly for the planets ;p BadTune~ going BUMP in the night! AH! damnit my toe!!!~

Omg Double post after 5 days O.o Anyway, majorly face-palmed myself a moment ago. Tried to run the auto-dock squadrons opti-add-on with the flagships mod(figured why not, seems like it'd make it all the more bad-ass) right? Entity files miss match, setting them up opti-on-top,negates the flagship spawner in the mods list, setting them up with flagship on top, well mini-dump. then it dawned on me, Can't autodock something if it doesn't know it exists!! *sigh* entity file

ok, did this a while ago but forgot to post the results(wondering if it matters now but oh well I'm doin it!!) Found out the thing fighting with running DS and Optimized together on the skyboxes was the graphics mod, explains why the new added ones had no troubles but the originals did, anyway END OF BELATED REPORT lol BadTune~ What's t
