Thanks for your input Maiden. I have indeed decided to play the Dark Avatar campaign with DA as it was designed for it. That way I have also experienced all three versions of the game when I'm done with the campaigns and can decide which version I want to use for my sandbox games. The only thing that really bothers me with having played DL 1.53 is that it's fairly buggy and I hope the more recent DA and ToA versions are better in that area. I can confirm this. The Galactic Civilizations II Launcher version 2.0 no longer includes the chapter selection option. I wonder why.
