If you can beat unfair ai, then I suggest you move on to mulitplayer. Playing against humans opens up a depth of strategy and tactics that is simply not possible in singleplayer. And yes, titans DO die in multiplayer, and often (except VL titan with overseer, lolz).

Geoman not sure where you got that stuff about Deliverance Engines but you are 100% wrong. Novas are the best superweapons right now. Kosturas could theoritically be better but they're almost never used (requires 8 military and 5 civic labs). As for general balance between factions it is good i guess. Advent and Tec are almost equal in early to mid game, with vasari (like greg said) being dependent on map setup. Vasari starts getting stupid overpowered in the very late late game t
Well, I find the opposite is true in my case... too often I see the AI just suicide their fleet into my far superior defensive position...
What a joke post grimm. You are 100% wrong in everything you say about the devs. Be on the lookout for my lengthy response tomorrow. In the meantime do try to post that kol replay of yours... bet you cant.
With Rebellion the main problem that has come up is how much of a pain the Vasari Loyalists are. A Vorastra and a large fleet can be extremely difficult to hunt down, perhaps giving the controlling player the illusion that they are winning.
This almost never happens anymore. Games these days are extremely unlikely to progress beyond the 2:00 hour mark where this kind of stuff can be done.
Please upload a replay of the kol being used effectively... I bet you can't even find one.
Please play some multiplayer Aresiv... you obviously don't know how powerful shield regen and malice are in light frigate/early game battles. Malice alone turns illums from being soft countered by vettes to being a HARD counter to vettes. Also, the concerns about phase missiles are entirely overblown... I too jumped on the PM OP bandwagon before I realized they weren't that big of an issue (slight nerf is needed though). Again, if you played multiplayer you would
@Frostflare and ARESIV- Do you guys even play multiplayer? There is no conceivable way you can support buffing fighters over bombers if you do. I rarely see bombers getting built anymore, usually its just all fighter compositions (even vasari). Bombers are just free exp for titan whenever fighters come along. I suggest you hop on and play 3-5 multiplayer matches to get a feel of the current metagame. Theory-crafting and number crunching can only get you so far. @Yarlen-<
All your suggestions have been discussed extensively in at least two threads... the devs have not even commented once. I like #2 btw.
All this talk of balance is USELESS. Just face it: The devs don't give one shit about Rebellion anymore. You heard blair yesterday; they would rather keep all their cool new toys and improvements for a sequel rather than improving this one. When they can't even fix something as simple as the maw bug, or even implement an in-game clock, or even respond to their own tech support email (8 MD files sent in, no response, lmao) what makes you think they would actually spend the time and "de

I was hosting a 5s game when suddenly there is a lobby crash. I get the "Disconnected from Ironclad Online" message and find myself back in the main menu. When I go to the multiplayer lobby again, I find that I can no longer host games. WTF! The "Host New Game" option is grayed out and cannot be selected. Restarts dont work. Messing with alloy doesnt work. Someone help please? EDIT: nvm, it got fixed by itself
Good, as mines are fine where they are and don't need any changes.
I have pirates disabled. Is there any other way to fix this without using the above solutions? Preferably one that allows me to play in multiplayer?
I have noticed this issue since at least 3-4 months ago. Disabling the BM box does eliminate the "dead space" issue, but I would prefer another solution because having the bm box accessible is pretty critical...
For some odd reason, I can't seem to issue any commands in the area directly under the black market box. The "dead space" is about the same size as the BM box. This includes stuff like move commands, general clicking, etc. Any suggestions or comments to fix the problem would be greatly appreciated.
- Missing an anti-Titan unit. There's one specialized unit to destroy starbases (the long-range torpedo cruiser) so why is there not one that is specialized against Titans?
Seriously, this one statement is all you need to read in order to know that this guy is a huge [e digicons]:troll:[/e] .
f you do carrier vs. carrier fights, the bombers will outperform the fighters...
Good post Seleucia, but this part isn't even true. I did a reproduction of ARESIV's test with 45 carriers on each side and in every test (did all matchups) the fighters consistently outperform the bombers. The carriers with the fighters only lose like 5 ships before completely dominating the bombers.
Aresiv i know you spent a lot of time doing those tests, but your section on fighter vs bomber is completely wrong. I'll try to do one stimulating real game conditions next week.
There goes crazy uncle zombie again, trying to think he's somehow better than the rest of us by using elitist facts and figures... [e digicons]:P[/e]
Geomans suggestion would have enormous ramifications to the current sins gameplay. Namely, completely ruining fighter/bomber balance in favor of fighters.
I still disagree with your assessment on flagship victory, as it adds nothing to the game. The only time the flagship is going to come in useful is early game, because it has poor dps. In mid to late game, a smart player will just hide it in his hw so it doesn't get sniped, essentially making it with normal victory conditions.
Mean ≠Dick. Also read my edit ryat.
? How am I being a dick? I was merely reacting to the fact that geoman rudely dismissed harpos help without so much as a thank you. EDIT: And not to toot my own horn here, but if you ever play on ico you would know I'm one of the nicest players around towards noobs. I always defend noobs rights when hosts try to kick, never kick them myself (unless game name says otherwise), and always whisper advice to them before game starts. The only time I'm ever mean to a noob is i
Based on the amount of terrible ideas and suggestions you have produced on this forum, the sense of entitlement that you feel for others to help you, and your unwillingnness to learn the basics of sins gameplay, I can only conclude you are a [e digicons]:troll:[/e]
