Reminds me of a MVA when I was dispatching. The first officer on scene freaked because he saw the girls hair, well away from the vehicle. Joe, in the meantime, buy yourself one of those digital voice recorders and just stick it in your shirt pocket. It's voice activated and works very well. If you have to stay there until you find another job, protect yourself in that way. At least you won't have to rely on a drunk supervisor to back you up if it comes down to it.
Footsie, if the kitty wasn't accustomed to being picked up then you scared the daylights out of him! I'm sorry you got scratched and bit, I know the feeling but he will be back. When we finally got rid of our ants, we found that they were living in a large flowerpot that had roses growing in them. There were MILLIONS of ants in there and they were travelling all around the house and going back to the pot. It's amazing how far they go.

See if Verizon is advertising something new. I noticed with my moms that whenever something new was developed and advertised that her internet connection went crappy. Sort of like their way of "inspiring" you to upgrade.

Also, if you can find some Diazanon, spray it around the foundation of your house, then spread Diazanon granules around your property line. This is the first year I've got them under control, I think my neighborhood was built on a giant anthill.
