It is easily done without any other app. First find the icons you want to use, then right click each icon you want to replace, click properties, and look for the change icon, click it and browse for the icons you found earlier and apply them. Iconpackager does this in batches using a set of icons that usually match or are from a matching sets, so is much easier, if after you have applied a set of icons in Iconpackager, there is one or two you would prefer to change , follow the info above.</p

Hi bobj420. I am not admin or a staff member but can confirm for me at least IconPackager does work with no issues I've seen or come upon yet on Windows 11.
Windowblinds has been my go to customization program for many years, love it to bit's and have used it since XP days. I wanted to move to the next step and use Win11 but as there is no solid date for even a WB11 Beta, for the first time in years i have had to drop it and use other customization programs, it was not what i wanted so left numerous questions about WB11 release in the panning topic, were i thought i would at least get an answer from admin or a staff member, but only more
Totally agree with you JCurie . I only bought Start 11 as i thought WB11 was following right behind, got sick and tired of waiting for a reputable answer to when WB11 would even be in a beta stage.
I am fully aware of Start 11s capabilities over Start 10, but the free start replacement programs have similar functions, i am not interested in Curtains as it was always about Windowblinds for me, and that was the reason i had to buy Start 10 in the first place to make
Thankyou for the reply Basj. Thanks for confirming now i have deactivated the license and uninstalled Start 11, i can re install when and if a WB 11 actually comes out I understand Start 11 will work with Windows 11, but as i have already paid For Start 10, why would i need Start 11 as well without WB11. Windowblinds has always been my go to Program for changing the look and feel of of my Desktop, so had no choice but to purchase Start 10, as WB 10 will not work correc
After asking multiple times about the release of WB11 and getting nothing conclusive by way of an answer, i have now deactivated my Start 11 from my Windows 11 PC and installed a Free StartAllBack as this allows me to use either Skinpacks or other Themes for my Windows 11 machine. As a long time customer of Windowblinds , and the fact the we need Start11 to work correctly with any WB 11 release however distant , i feel the release of Start 11 without a WB 11 is useless as Windowblinds
After reading in another section of the forum, am i correct in thinking if you deactivate the Start 11 license and uninstall the product, it can be installed again at a later time. I only purchased Start 11 as i like many others assumed Windowblinds 11 would soon follow. After leaving numerous posts in the WB 11 Planning topic, no one member of staff or admin replied and it was left to myself (like others ) to speculate , based on some others posts that WB 11 would be w
Then i must not be a Virtuous person then. I just want a staff member to stand up and be counted, give us some more info that is not guess work or the dreaded possible Typo of Years still to wait. Why start this topic about the planning of what we want to see in WB11, let it run for almost 10 months, then when staff input is needed most (Windows 11 is now here) Silence and nothing. Or maybe the prolonged silence is just to try and se
Would it really be that hard for someone who has at least a good idea, based on solid Intel, when will we see a WB 11. Were all paying Customers, and without us no software would be popular and no Software houses would exist. The lack of solid coms from any staff member can only hurt the brand. PLEASE TELL US SOMETHING, WHY ARE YOU LETTING THIS THREAD GO ON AND ON, SOMEONE MUST BE IN A PLACE TO INFORM US ALL ABOUT THE FUTURE OF WB 11.
I did look at #179 and like others i assumed it must be wrong or just an opinion as this thread is 10 months old, and Windows 11 has been around for Insiders (so thought the Windowblinds Planners may have been busy in the background) putting together a Beta or something. Over the weekend since the release of the Win 11 final, there has been a glut in Start Replacement programs released, many of them free. Those who use WB have understood it needs Stardock Start (10 and 11) to work. If
OK so i have dutifully followed your lead and upgraded to the new full Start 11, so any idea when we will at least see a Windowblinds 11. Even though this Planning thread is almost ten months old, and considering Windows 11 Final build release is now ready, i am starting to worry a little about when if ever we will see a WB 11. I only ever went down the Start 10 and now 11 route as it was needed for Windowblinds to work correctly. To be honest, if a start menu replaceme
Still hoping for an official response , and i am hoping it will not be too far off the current release of Windows 11 tomorrow, i really do not want to have to re look for something to do a similar job, but as stated earlier , i use my pc for several hours a day, so need it looking like i want it too.
So is there anyone who can give a solid reply about the Future of Windowblinds ?
I hear you JCurie , i would be very happy with a Windowblinds 11 Beta , as that way i would know something is in the pipeline. I know the makers started this Topic Dec 25th last year to try to iron out bugs and offer users a say in what they would like to see, but the topic descended into rows about Explorer, so sort of lost it's way. Just a little nugget saying "Windowblinds 11 Is On It's Way " will do for me. I know i should
After seeing and installing as per instructions the second beta for Start 11 and with a full release coming on the 7th. May i ask how far behind Windowblinds will be and it's compatibility with Windows 11. For me both programs are crucial for my eye sanity, as using what comes with Windows 11 ( and previous editions) would drive me crackers looking at there crap desktop. I work online in the real world and in my down time, i am Site Admin of a website, so can spend multiple hours on my PC.</p
So now we have a release date for Windows 11, Officially 5th October, how far behind does anyone think Windowblinds will be before we get a Fully Compatible Edition, and will Start 11 then become out of it's Beta stage.
Stealth Drone all day long for me, was great on Win 7 and Win 10, Hoping it will work on Windows 11 just as well.
OK i have purchased Start11, as promised, so Windowblinds 11 will probably be a paid upgrade, will windowblinds 10 customers get a discount similar to Start10 customers, sorry for so many questions but Windowblinds and Start has been an integral part of my Computing needs since XP was around, i can not look at the same desktop day in and day out
Thanks a lot for the reply. Since XP i have been using the same windowblinds master skin and wanted to make sure it will all look the same regardless of what windows is underneath it. I will buy Start11. Do you know if the new windowblinds (To work in Windows 11) will be a free upgrade, like previous windowblinds, or will it be a new product line Start11, so to recap, will i have to pay 2 new prices for Windowblinds 11 and Start11, many thanks for your help.
OK thanks as now i can buy the upgrade, one other question if you do not mind. If Start 11 can be used on both machines , one running Win 10 and another Running Win 11, will the Start11 look the same as it does now on a Windows 10 machine now, or will Start11 look the same on both machines. I would not want my windows 10 Start menu to look like the windows 11 Start11 upgrade, hope that makes sense. Now to find the Windowblinds information connected to Windows 11, i have
Hi. I have purchased Start10 some time ago, if i take up the offer of a Start 11 upgrade, will Start 10 still be useable, and activate normally on my Computers that still use Windows 10. So to recap, can i still use and activate Start 10 on Windows 10 machines I Pay £3.99 for start 11, will i still be able to use and activate both programs
Ok windows 10 installed and windowblinds 10 looking good had to uninstall Nod 32 and zone alarm but looking so far so good, cheers for the help
Uvah you are a star it worked like a charm youve made my day now i can innstall windows 10 on my main computer ,ive waited so long for windowblinds 10 as i refuse to upgrade to win 10 until my desktop looks just the way its always looked with my favourite windowblinds skins and masterskins many thanks for the quick reply and also cheers to <a id="ctl00_ctl00__C
