"Time to start thinking about Mac and Linux" I view the competition between pc and mac as one between gm and ford. Linux, on the other hand, offers a more consumer friendly approach.

"Remember when all PC games were buggy as hell..." No, I don't. Back in the 90's I didn't encounter that many games with bugs. The games that were buggy really stood out then. The buggyness has increased since. Now the ones that aren't buggy seem to stand out. Accordingly to what I've read, steam was started by former microsoft guys. Steam is pursuing a similar strategy as microsoft to garner a monopoly in their area of business. Start out cheap and "friendly" to reel in the suckers, then once you got them by the balls, start squeezing. I have no doubts that steam is a microsoft "front" company. The downsides of steam have already been explained in grisly detail, the future with this outfit is obvious. Ever hear of "once bitten, twice shy"? Why con

If your disk has both the exe files for dos and windows, that's orion2.exe & orion95.exe respectively, then the dos exe should work with dos box and the windows exe should work with windows from 95 to xp. From what I've read, I think vista is iffy and windows 7 wont work with it at all. You should be able to use the dos exe with dos box on vista. I seem to remember reading about problems with dos box and windows 7, but I think dos box will work OK with vista.
