What we must remember about devs, not only from Stardock, is that at the end of the day they're running a business. As much as Brad loves his games (and we love him for that) and they're risking a lot with FE, they must still make a profit in order to put food on the table. So they must strike a balance between hardcore features and accessible features so that they appeal to a wide audience. Some people keep saying "but MoM had this, and MoM had that..." but for example I have never p

May I suggest an overhaul of the whole governor thing? Cities giving XP for stationed governors, useful governor traits, etc. Here's a thread: https://forums.stardock.com/430749 Your mod looks very good so far, although I haven't tried it yet, and seems to address some issues people have been complaining about, especially boring city leveling.
3D is fine once you get used to it, but there is a bit of an adjustment period. On the other hand, 3D is totally unnecessary in these games and only exists for developers to flex their e-peen.
3D map is only fine if it's like Star Ruler's. It's realistic, it's beautiful and easy to navigate, yet it maintains the plane structure, which happens to be approximately true, at least for ou

I was about to post a link to this as well. It caught my attention too but I must say the seem a little too ambitious. I do wish them the best of luck, and will probably pledge $10, but ambition alone isn't going to build a great game. I mean even GalCiv 2's AI still has some faults, even if it's the best 4X AI, and Brad is kind of an AI expert. Art and music are very very important for this kind of game, and they seem to be doing good so far, with the music at

http://www.spacesector.com/blog/2012/08/elemental-fallen-enchantress-hands-on-beta-preview He gives a very thorough insight to the game and points out the many good things and the few not so good ones of the Beta 4 stage of the game. I think this is good publicity.
Still a few mechanics in the game that needed some tweaking (says the lowly non-programmer), so I'm hoping that they're intergrated into beta 5. I get the tingling impression that they're not though... Are they game breakers? No, probably not. Are they the difference between an 8/10 and an 11/10? Again, imo, yep.
Exactly. Well said. Of course there will always be requests from different people but

There is definitely an improvement in the overall looks of the game by changing font rendering. I remember reading a forum post of someone complaining about it and I indeed noticed fonts were poorly rendered but I honestly never expected anything to change so I guess I got over it. But it really looks a lot better and it does make a difference. It's something we usually take for granted but it does make a noticeable difference and will add to the overall feel of the game. <
By the way, I really like E:FE, and I personally only see a few short comings (which I have brought up in other threads)that could be easily addressed, minus the Dynasty thing. That was one of my favorite features of E:WoM by the way.
There's no dynasty in FE? :( That was so cool in WoM. It was so simple and fun and you always got a sense of satisfaction seeing your sons walking in their father's footsteps an

This just happened to me too. Queen Procipinee of Pariden just hangs around after she burned her last city to the ground. I don't think you should control a sovereign after you defeat them. You should just have that satisfaction that you finally managed to kill the bastard. It's ok if you can control them if they capitulate. But they should definitely disappear of they resign. EDIT: I killed Queen Procipinee again after she was left standing there and now she's gon
wanted to insert screenshot here but don't know how
You must upload the picture on some photohosting site, like Photobucket or imugr, copy the direct link to the picture, and while writing the comment here on the forum, press the little button with the green tree in the editing window and just paste the direct link in there. They are all good points, some have been reported before so I hope Stardock has them on their list.

I think it randomly happens, so I don't know if there are specific units that suffer from this bug. Attack sounds, damage sounds and dying sounds, all suffer from this bug. If anyone observes a pattern, maybe offer some more information. Spell sounds don't seem to have this problem.

ATI is owned by AMD and they make all kinds of chips: GPUs, CPUs, northbridge chipsets, etc. Intel and AMD together own like 99% of the processor market, the other 1% is probably attributed to ARM and other specialized manufacturers for mobile and embedded devices. Therefore it's either Intel or AMD. I believe AMD processors are cheaper. I suggest you take a friend that's up to date with the latest advances in desktop computers and let him pick a new gaming
