Hefty price tag on the really good one too. $700 US. Read the article day before yesterday at Tech something. I don't recall the exact website. Okay ... I found it. http://bits.blogs.nytimes.com/2011/04/06/the-new-commodore-64-updated-with-its-old-exterior/
That's

Seems fitting for Gamestop to buy Impulse, since most titles on Impulse are North America region restricted, and Gamestop doesn't sell outside the USA.
I wonder, I know that man will never ve immortal nor medicine free, but can the free market be then trusted with peoples' health and lives, like almost everything else it takes care of?
Quoting kentsfield, reply 24 Its pretty safe to write off the DX9 market. If they haven't upgraded to 7/vista and a DX11/10 card by now then like shit you are going to be able to sell a game to them. Battlefield 3 will pave the way. Stardock makes games on a limited budget with nowhere near the graphical fidelity of your average FPS. If Stardock were to write off the DX9 market they'd probably

It's not exclusive to politicians, either... bankers, CEO's and everyday people fit into the greed, dishonesty and stupidity categories. Since consoles make up for the biggest platform big games are published on, why would developers work on a dx that only runs on high end PCs?
Doesnt seem that useful how many people have big screen hooked up to their computers. Would be more useful if this was on consoles, where people have their 52" screen layouts.
I think cars dont make a good example, but his analogy still works. Let's say instead of a car, someone buys a home appliance. He or she could modify it to work in a different way that it was designed to do. Like when people overclock their computers. They void the warranty, and risk destroying their expensive equipment, but it's legal for them. As long as their modifications don't become vehicles or air traffic control jamming devices it's good.
People should start making their own consoles and then STFU.
duh, havent you people played fallout 3? Get a big super robot to bring them down. If that doesnt work, get people into the VR chamber where they'll enjoy the bliss of a happy american suburban afternoon while the country gets invaded by chinese commandos.
It is a trailer though, not the game itself. The trailer was like a 3 minute film, very well done, but it wasnt what the game looks like.
Desura does look interesting. Is it like Impulse being optional, or like Steam?
Quoting VicenteC, reply 239 You'll be surprised to know you can put a game on the 360 without Microsoft approval, it's called Indie Games, and they are peer-reviewed, not reviewed by MS, in fact, MS employees are forbidden to do peer-review. Provided you want to release a game that's under 150MB, sells for 400 MS points or less, has an 8 minute trial period, and can't use XBL's achievements or lea

Something I think alot of people misunderstand is the difference between steam and steamworks API. Just because you can buy it on steam doesn't make it steamworks integrated. And as the list above shows.. some games choose to do steamworks only for the steam version of the game... meaning th

I get the point of D2D not being a competitor to Steam and therefore they like having Steamworks games, but how does that apply on Gamersgate?
Would it be possible to sell the game with the Steamworks component ripped out? After all, the not regular releases will have it enabled.
Yeah, dissapointment, I suppose DNF wont be on Impulse too now, right?
