Thank you IPlural for the link to the spell checker. You would think that if a person (Huron Joe) is using WinXP, Office XP, and Outlook, that you wouldn't have to install a separate (grin..spell checker not yet installed) spell checker. And also how come I can always tell when a word is spelled wrong but not necessarily if it is spelled correct? Its hell to have a passive vocabulary. <img src="http://images.stardock.co
HuronJoe
The older you get, the more your realize that the more you know, the more your become aware of just how much you don't know.
Pretty much every day and since I'm retired, I spend anywhere from 4 to 6 hours reading and occasionally posting. I try to answer some of the questions that I'm sure of. I don't like to guess because that can get some users in trouble if they assume that I know the answer positivly. I do enjoy the threads that are just batting verbal re-par-te (lousy speller) around. /me 's looking for a good spell checker that works on message boards. <A HREF="https://www.wincustomize.com/index
Ahh well, I guess that should be enough for now or Elfkura will get mad at all these useless threads. Its tough trying to bond.
Maybe this will work, /me 's head hurts.
Whoops I didn't know how to put an s after Huron Joe as in: /me head hurts.
Thanks, pipowell. Now I know more then I ever really needed to know. I not only know what I knew before but now I know what you just told me. /me's head hurts.
That is really nice. I envy your up and comming talent.
OK Jafo and Madam Fuzzy Logic... I now know more then I did before <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0
I used to have a buddy from long ago who came over to the US from England and it took a long time for me to understand a LOT of what he would say when he was a bit high (drunk). Do you people still say things like: "I went up the apple and pear's to see me troublesome strife"? and to this day I'm still not sure what the hell that means. My best guess would be "I went up stairs to see my wife". How close am I? /me ponders why Americans have to learn English all over again.. <img src="htt
pipowell......I have the Geforce 4 ti4600 from Gateway and I haven't had any problems or "issues" yet with FX (that I know of or are readily apparent). What issues are you talking of? My driver version: 6.13.10.3082 (30.82) Are those the latest drivers and if not would I update from Gateway or NVIDA? I have a 700XL with 1 gig of memory and WindowsXP Pro on a 2.4 mz cpu. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/
Hmmm you better stop drinking homogized milk!
Pelf, thanks for replying. The shading whenever I select anything anywhere within the browser is very dark. The type is normal (black). I am using WB4 and the PixOS theme on Windows XP with a LCD screen (normally type is very crisp and I have no trouble reading a document. But this happens even with in the WinCustomize browser. I know how to bring up display properties and I can get in to the color sceams, but I don't see anything that pertains to the type foreground or background? Could you try
I got here a bit late but to repeat what the rest have said in my own words: Very few people will go to a message board simply to say "Yep, I tried such and such program and it worked without a flaw." I've been using Object Desktop for at least two years now and very, very, very, seldom run into any problems and I do in fact download and try out all of the "Alpha's and Beta version of updates. So don't be afraid to take the plunge, you will never regret it. BTW Jafo..."Go t
Also you can use the built in application within IconPackager by the name of "Icon Explorer". Then you can run rampant throughout your system clicking on all sorts of files till you find an icon you like. Assuming that by "images" you mean "icons". Hope that helps. Icon Packager can be downloaded the same place you got DesktopX to try out before you buy. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" bor
Whoops...test should read as text...
If your on WindowsXP you can double click on the picture on the top of the srart bar and it will open up your user account and there you can "change my picture" I don't know how to change the test tho. Also in IE you can use "WebBlinds" to change the Icon in the top right half of IE.
BTW Since I hate to start new threads, can anyone tell me how to lighten up the highlight that appears whenever I select anything? It is so dark that I can't read the message underneath the highlighting. I'm using WB4 and a LCD screen. I would appreciate any suggestions or bones that are tossed my way. <img src="http://images.stard
I've added it to my favorites too, Xerraire. /me is just a "Lurker" from the silent majority who can't skin but can read and learn.
Thanks to Mike and Pax. I've always wanted to change the picture icon on the start menu. /me also should thank Blondie66 for asking the question in the first place.
I thought I knew but when I tried it first to check, it didn't work. Now I would also like to know how it is done.
Jafo thanks for the information feedback and as far as the Porsche goes your out of luck unless you could settle for a picture of one. Also I hate to keep asking so many questions but: Is it considered proper "Netiquet" (lousy speller so you have to read some words phonetically) to ask a question on someone else's post? Also I notice that the little envelope icon on each opened post changes from an open envelope to one with what looks like a page or document next to the envelope, does that m
Why not just purchase Object Desktop in place of getting each application seperately? Its only $49.95 and if you already have WindowBlinds then you get a discount or rollback on the price (not positive about that but it used to be that way) With Object Desktop you can ALL of the little apps that make it so nice to minipulate your desktop. <img src="http://images.stardock.com/images/smiles/sb.gif" border=0 ALIGN="absmidd
Neutral /me thinks that maybe he is too old to play anymore!
