Windows 8 is flat, unappealing, and personally - if MS doesn't come out with a 2nd service pack for Win7 soon I am going to re-consider a dual-boot system. Windows 8 and the metro thing holds no appeal for me; none whatsoever. In fact; I am sick to death of black and gray everything. It's all flat to me...what has happened to 3D design? It looks so much better to me than this flat, mono look. Lack of colors, lack of style; yish. Just my opinion.

No offense to the developers of Tiles, but all I really see is a snazzed-up sidebar. What happened to everything else? Windows 8 is something I will most likely pass on entirely because it is a new development entirely and is aimed largely at tablets etc. I am a writer and sans keyboard and mouse I am nothing. What is the point from my perspective. Besides, I just purchased a new laptop not that long ago - why should I even consider a tablet? You can't sit the thing on your lap and wr
