kaspersky is a bit quirky with its upgrades (full, subversion.. but not "patch versions") ... as in. you have to manually nip over to their site to get the downloader instead of having it done via its updater... what year are we in?? then again i get it for free... and its not bad (aside from really slow starts for firefox esp with the plugins) that aside.. they just killed 1 ms site? how? blacklisted it? XD bit drastic to have to uninstall the thing as a
Hence my admiration for traditional Chinese mathematicians I've seen a couple in action and they're simply amazing.
does anyone even teach chinese maths? based on the old text and all. i'm curious. i mean within school curriculum as opposed to all those extra tutoring class stuff they like to stuff their kids in over in the far east. or do people just teach what everyone else teach in the wes
Is that available throughout the UK? Yeah, there's somebody who now lives there [in Devon] I'd like a copy sent to.
to paraphrase our pm. simply don't tweet. ;)
We really really don’t like to let people go. We have laid people off before and we will lay people off in the future. It’s inevitable. Projects fail. The economy changes. However, knowing that your company will do everything in their power to avoid it means people are willing to make long term commitments to that company which reduces turn over. is this the one where apple auto installs for you (no need for reboot either) ... speaking of.. i saw an update mentioning ntp in linux mint last night.. i assume it's related.
.. it's still a keylogger and all, right? XD
i have an old machine (core2duo) ... when my boot hdd went kaput a couple of months back i tried using usb with win 7sp1 iso to do a fresh install. i don't know if it's the stick or if it's something with the motherboard, but it was so bloody slow that i had to dig up the old win 7 dvd that i had instead. which i loathed to do because the dvd drive is wonky.. the tray shuts itself practically as soon as it's opened....
yeah.. but the link says eu courts... in any case.. reselling is not too relevant to the family digital vs physical sharing issue.
A far more appropriate question would be "Why can't I resell my steam games when I am legally entitled to do so?"
unless there's a fair bit of us case law precedent that forces valve to do anything... i wouldn't think much of the legally entitled bit..
i don't know... i think it's actually a fairly good way of doing things. think about this.. it's aiming for the lowest common denominator, so to speak. non-technical people ain't going to faff around uninstalling anything... trouble would be those who installed the uninstaller and then go around looking to manually uninstall the dodgy patch because they read somewhere that they should be uninstalling things... but don't read enough into the details.... mayb
of course.. there's probably some currently unenforcible t&c that doesn't like multiple persons using 1 account..
you do realise kb3024777 is basically just an uninstaller for kb3004394? http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3024777 "The KB 3004394 update that was dated December 10, 2014 can cause additional problems on computers that are running Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (SP1) and Windows Server 2008 R2 SP1. This includes the inability to install future updates. This new update is available to remove KB 3004394 from your computer." ps... i saw the 777 very early (we
yeah... but how do they know it's 2 people in the same house, etc... if they don't require more verifiable id info off you... something that people will howl about... and goes back to the bit where if it's reasonable for them to ask some and someone willing to give them, eventually it'll be asked from all. would you be happy with that? like.. how would they distinguish a couple with 2 computers sharing games with one of them periodically going overseas (
perhaps you are looking at this wrong? is there any reason why your son needs his own account? any reason why you can't setup your own steam account on that machine, update whatever games, make it offline mode and block internet access (for steam only?) obviously i ain't done this before, nor do i need to.... but unless people are fine with somehow verifying their rl id to steam with all sorts of info, i don't see them allowing people to share things
mostly not on pc... but.. sega's phantasy star series has a load of generation ship type of thing. though it's rpg/mmorpg than rts/strat. um... one of the planets blew up in ps2 i think and those ships were launched just before or some such. ps3 took place in one of them ships (really hits on the generation ship theme.. ppl inside don't even know it's a ship after a bunch of generations.). think the mmos take place on those ships too...
helm's deep (lotro).... then promptly taking a break for the next couple of weeks to give ff14 trial a go.. might get the base game when the trial ends.. not sure.
afaik all stardock games (since lh?) will be steamworks based...
i use about:blank as homepage / new tab page anyway... XD ps.. to turn ads on and off... just open a new tab... there's a gear like icon near top right... select blank -> about:blank (no ads)... classic-> history + no ads .. enhanced -> ads
not trademarked by dcuo? XD
@dr - not convinced that the patching always undo hotfixes 1st... my previous win7 installation (bit corrupted by dying hdd...) had problems with some patches... one of which was caused by a hotfix.. and eventually went through after i tracked it down and undo the hotfix... though this one should be fairly harmless.. just basically the same as unticking the ssl 3 box in ie options, isn't it? (that said.. ie options is used by plenty of stuff - eg.. steam, chrome..... still..
you might want to "restore" when ms comes up with a patch... not sure if win update undo hotfixes before they patch in fixes or not... sometimes hotfixes messes up later winupdates (i think) but who remembers to unfix stuff, ever? XD
oddly, the "stop autoupdate" has its text changed a while back.. it used to say do not update, now it says update when you launch game.....

you lost me a bit there.. is this an expansion to fe or fe:lh? do owners of fe (but not fe:lh) get a discount?
