That happened to me too. The only thing I could do was uninstall and reinstall the game. I thought it was maybe because I'd originally installed the game in my F drive instead of the default C drive, so when I reinstalled it I just let it go into my C drive instead and it was fine.

On the store I can see 2 download links for version 0.86 and they are 212MB and 2GB, the same as version 0.85. Do we have to download the whole thing again or is there a download update somewhere from 0.85 to 0.86? Thanks!

I just got my email invite for the beta tomorrow, which I assume will be version 0.76 " Tomorrow, January 26, at approximately 3:00 PM EST you'll be able to download the beta...." Very much looking forward to my first game!! :)
In the journal section Frogboy says, " Eventually, anyone who bought Elemental: War of Magic in 2010 or earlier will get Elemental: Fallen Enchantress for free." I hope 'eventually' isn't too far away! :)
I thought the beta was only available at the moment for people who pre-ordered EWOM.....don't emails go out next week for people who bought the game in 2010? I hope that;s the case because I bought EWOM in Dec 2010 and the beta isn't appearing in Impulse for me yet.

Hello all, I'm a bit confused about ships and the ship designer. Sometimes I research techs and it doesn't seem to make any difference to the ships I have at that time! Am I supposed to design a new ship myself every time I research something? Also, special techs like the Terran warp bubbles...I forget the proper name!....in another thread I read that you should just put them on one of your ships in a fleet and not all of them, but I don't really understand

This is quite an eye-opener! I've come across some of these names mentioned at the 2K forums and CivFanatics, but never really thought much about it. I just usually put down the nonsense they write to ignorance and immaturity, but maybe they are a bit mentally unhinged!
I would love to see this added too. I'm so used to it in the Civ games and other TBS games it seems to really stand out as something that should be there, but isn't! Can only assume that it's a big implementation because I'm sure they'd have added it by now considering all the other changes they've made. They'll probably do it for FE and then they'll be able to add it to EWOM.
