SK is my favourite of the elemental series. According to Steam I have put in 171 hour on Fallen Enchantress and 49 into SK. Working out what I paid divided by time spent - very good value for money games - brilliant highly recommend SK and FE

I agree SK is currently my favourite of the long line of Elemental based games. However, the end game is a bit of a slog to say the least. usualy when I am ready to take on the lieutenants they are no match for my army. To be honest they have never proven to be a hurdle in a the 10+ games I have played, apart from the fact that I have had to hunt them down. It is boring trying to find them. I love the final battle with the SK, but I have never been in a situation

One of the minor civs quests required going to a cobra shaped location. When I got there I was told this was a notable location and that my level was 1 and I need 4. To reaise notablelocation score I needed to research adventuring. Or words to this effect. I get the feeling is a bug in the quest and the notable locations is a left over from Elemental. I can send in a saved game if it helps/

I have spent a great deal of time today playing a wonderful game of SK. Magician, normal difficulty level on pre-defined medium map. However, it has now ground to halt. At one point I had three cities one main army and bunch of units defending my cities. Logistics was in the plus, I was running out of build options. The enemy attacked and defeated one of my cities. I lost about 8 units and my logistics plummeted to -7.

@starkers all good Back to beer... Back when I was living in Amsterdam, I was in a bar one night, This Aussie bloke came up to the bar and asked the barman, "do you have beer?" The barman poured him a beer into a standard Dutch glass, probably 200ml. The Aussie bloke looked at the glass kinda weirdly, sculled it back and said"yep, that 'll do, give me one of those.", obviousl

There is not enough room for those kiwis to come back to NZ now that Australia is going down the gurgler. So you will have to keep them. There has been a total replacement of the population by the Jaapies. Next time I am over in OZ I will make a point of asking for feesh and cheeps to eat by the puul in m' thongs. It is quite interesting how quickly you two turned a discussion about beer into "bash New Zealanders", your cultural inferiority co

You obviously have no clue Jafo, about a great many things. Having some New Zealanders move to Australia has a net benefit for both countries.

http://www.thrillist.com/drink/nation/the-best-beer-countries-in-the-world Surprised to find NZ in the list. As expected Belgium #1 I would have place Netherlands higher, the microbreweries there produce some amazing beer.

We introduced 3x strikes and you are out in NZ a number of years ago. Made no difference to anything, didn't reduces downloading and didn't eventuate in mass prosecutions. It was a big bunch of nothing much. You are not going to stop illegal use of digital material by persecuting people. Instead companies are changing their business models, see spotify, netflix etc these services are affordable and they offer so much content, so easily, that punters are happy to

Sounds like bollocks - I can attach USB keyboards and mice, bluetooth and "wireless through USB dongle" to my macbook - I always use external mice on laptops and I much prefer a proper mouse (two proper buttons) than the stupid Mac ones. mac-mini is useful if you want to do some development for macs but don't want to shell out megabucks, just beware that new versions of xcode usually require new OS and new OS will sometimes require new hardware - thanks apple<

lol a power user is someone who installs and uninstalls many programs. Yeah, nah! If you have to reformat your computer every 6 months you are doing something wrong. Windows does not get slower if you install and uninstall programs. Windows generally gets "gummed up" because people install crap that starts up when windows boots up and runs in the background. The number of times I have to help people uninstall malware that they hadn't even realised that they had inst

I played it for the first time last night. I was only going to have a quick look, a hour later, this is looking amazing. I am glad Easter is coming up and I haven't go anything major planned for a couple of the 4 days break so hopefully I can convince my wife to take the girls and bugger off for a few hours :) I am not usually that excited when RPGs have lots of text to read but this is so well done that I found myself getting very much into the storyline. &

The potions of Refreshing Elixir never show during a battle. The description is that they "refresh the moves" however, during the battle no units has the potion available to be used. The "break" skill is supposed to be a normal attack and also destroy defences for a number of rounds. It appears it does nothing. No damage done and nothing to suggest the enemy unit is easier to damage afterwards. I am still enjoying Beta 5 a l

One of the annoying aspects of SK is that you end up with oodles of weapons and no-one to give them to. As far as I can tell the only character you can provide with a weapons is your initial champion. Every other character referred to as a "champion" is in fact not. So when the minor factions give you their champions they are just regular units. This is a bug, over sight or have I missed something? Also In my recent game I played a
