Fences 2, Win 7x64. As so often happens with Fences, a Fenced icon on the far left of the destop got slightly out of place and so the one to its right (lower row) moved over (Stardock, why can't you give us snap into place?). As usual, it was hard to tell them apart, but I saw enough to be drag the out of place one to the middle of the desktop. Then I dragged it back to the far left to drop back into place. As soon as it hit the left edge of the screen, all the res

Sorry folks, but as someone who used Fences 1 Pro for a good while, I've found Fences 2 to be a piece of you know what. No exclude icons, icons disappearing off the desktop, having to run system restores several times to get it all back - I'm tired of it. Back to Pro 1 I go, until they work out the problems. And note that it's now five weeks and they haven't fixed the exclude icons function, which is central to the workings of the program. Guess they&#3

The icons popping out of Fences part of this is not a new problem, as I reported it twice to support long ago with version 1 Pro. The slightest misstep with an icon in a Fence is apt to send it out, first by moving it out of line with the others. In fact, I often don't know that anything happened until later when I need to do something in that Fence and notice two icons on top of each other, or unexpected and apparently illogical things start to happen. I learned long ago that

While I'm not sure what the point of your post is, given that you didn't see the prompts, or passed by them without noticing, but my expectation is that the unfenced icons will be piled on top of each other in the corner. That's the way this program seems to work.

I just had the same problem with the Pro 2 version. Clicking the prompt to keep the old layout and then the old settings/configuration doesn't do it. Had to do a system restore and redownload 2.0. Please provide detailed instructions on how to install while keeping everything successfully. Thanks. Win 7x64

I'm confused by a few things: 1) Is this a Fences Pro update or just Fences? 2) Stardock Central Beta doesn't show what Stardock I have, i.e., Fences Pro 1.x. Isn't it supposed to? 3) The Fences 2 description includes a couple of things that I'm not clear about: a. "Expose folders containing documents or pictures..desktop..." I've been doing that with Win 7 by simply keepin

Two fences, one above the other. When I deleted an icon from the bottom fence, an icon from the middle of the bottom row of the upper fence slid down to the left side of the lower fence. Happened twice with two deletes. What would make that happen? The fences don't overlap. Win 7x64 Here's a screenshot of before. It's the "Program Files x64" in Drives/Folders fence that keeps slipping down to the Browsers/File Managers fence.

I keep most of my destop icons hidden in Fences Pro. In that state, if my mouse hand slips and the icon moves the slightest amount as I'm clicking on it, it's almost invariably no longer part of the Fence it was in. That's really darn annoying. When this occurs, I have to show all and shove the icon back in, which is sometimes easy and sometimes not, depending on the size of the Fence. Shouldn't there be a setting that prevents icons being remov

In the middle of a session the other day, I switched to the desktop and one half of a column of eight or nine icons that are part of a Fence had disappeared. After playing around a bit, I discovered that it had turned from one column into two columns side by side, although the Fence appearance itself had not changed; i.e., as a single column it was still tall enough to handle all (actually, there's one new one added since then). Some reboots later, I still haven't figured

XP/SP3; Fences free. Every time before shutting down my computer, I make sure the only desktop icons that show are ones I have excluded from hiding; i.e., I invoke Fences if necessary. At the next start up, about half the time Fences kicks in and half the time it doesn't, i.e., all desktop icons show. Since it didn't seem to be that way when first installed, I'm wondering what might have changed. I use Autoruns and everything labeled Fences is checked. Thanks,</p
