From my point of view, if I have to subscribe to access the otherwise free content that I use with my otherwise payed software, however there are 2 WB skins a year I download, neither I will subscribe to WC, nor will I renew my OD subscription. I don't think any of this has to do with your current usa

Simple enough to solve.. Just use VS .NET 2003.. Actually, skip 2003 and use 2005, it's supposed to be an exponential improvement!!
Are you rebooting after installing WB5? Have you looked at the Troubleshooting section of the WB configuration dialog?
Fantastic work as usual!!
Uhhh, that's a video game... Looks like it's going to encompass the story line from at least the first two movies..
WHEN IS THE OFFICIAL BUILD GOING TO BE RELEASED? In the immortal words of ID, *When it's ready*!!
cripple the downloads for people like me Sounds like we agree 100% RiddickRom.. I say give the freeloaders 10MB total downloads and make them click through at least one advertisment that they have to look at for 10 seconds every time they try and download something. I would still like them
Ah, I personally don't like any of the messenger clients, AIM, Yahoo, MSN, you name it they are bloated and usually have ads or some other flashy nonsense that only serves to annoy. So, my client of choice is Trillian. it lets me log on to any combination of chat networks simultaneously and I can keep my contacts in any groups I want. I'm currently logged into 2 MSN accounts, my Yahoo account and my AIM account all for a measly 23 MB of memory. Which i
if you were the type of person that was here just to download and were already getting everything you wanted for free, why on earth would you subscribe? Because if you were this person and you enjoyed coming here and you enjoy the artwork you find here and you want things to stay the way they are. i.e
It really freaks them out when you run a trace route and can tell them the names of routing boxes in their network Hahahaha, you took a page right out of my book, or maybe I took the page from your book who knows but I've done the same thing. Ironically enough I did it when I had DSL through SBC. I've
spot1701, What other applications are you claiming support actual transparency in the taskbar? I'm not sure I'd call it a real letdown, teh new features are awesome and the fact that I can't see a window behind my taskbar doesn't detract from that in the least. There must be a lot of "serious recoding of exp
Yes, but the differense is that the taskbar is evenly transparent all over. But with perpixel, it got various transparency levels. I get what per-pixel transparency is, but maybe I'm having a dense moment as I don't see how that affects the fact that the taskbar appears to simply show a static view of
I have an AMD 64 X2 processor at home and I've run across a few installers that refuse to run on it. I'm still using the 32-bit version of XP but the installer actually barfs because of the processor.. It's very strange but nothing that anyone here can fix. If you have a problem take it up with Alienware, you've said othere themes from here work so it's clear that SD is doing nothing that is incompatible with XP 64-bit..
Seeing the same thing here with the app I'm working on here at work.. BTW, if you have right-click set to roll-up/down you can roll the window up and then roll it down and the contents will come back.
(those of us doling out $45-$50 per month for RR) RR isn't the only ISP affected, just one of many. Perhaps the largest, perhaps not, but definitely not the only one.
GoodMorphing, I'm with you in being extremely ticked off by this whole escapade but I'm quite happy with my RR service. After having DSL through SBC for nearly 6 years I like the extra speed and lower price I'm able to get through RR. I really don't know who to blame for this because it seems that both companies are acting like spoiled brats picking their toys up and leaving because they don't like how the other kids are playing.. I read som
I plan to switch to another ISP What good is switching ISP's going to do? You aren't suffering these problems because of anything your direct ISP did, I have RoadRunner and I've been having this problem since yesterday but there's really nothing RR can do, they are at the mercy of Level3 and Cogent. F
Yes...it's an RR issue.... No..... It's a Level3/Cogent issue, RR is just getting the blame from their customers like me. Apparently on the 5th Level3 decided they were no longer interested in taking part in peering their network with Cogent. This has caused all of the issues, apparently Cogent has a
So, did someone give in? I can finally get SD Central and WC to come up...
Well, isn't that just craptacular!! Someone at level3 needs a good swift kick in the rear for this little temper tantrum.. Well, at least I know why I can't get to ANY SD sites from my home computer.. Maybe I'll try to connect from home through the office from home over the VPN..
Thats nice this was released. What about people who don't want object desktop, they just want window blinds. Are we going to be able to get Window Blinds? Yes, you'll get V5 when it's out of beta. There is a long and sorted history surrounding why only OD subscribers get beta releases that I'm sure no
Am I going to have to buy WB 5 separately?? No, if your OD subscription is active when WB5 is released you will of course have access to it. The statement made about people who buy WB4 after Sept. 1 is for the folks who have bought or might buy just WB. Fear not, you'll be able to get it as long
On my work machine, WB5 seems to work just fine. Except there are some oddities like my cursors seems to go behind the parts of skins that are using per-pixel transparencies. Also, windows no longer roll up, I have the right-click button set to always roll-up/down the window and that no longer seems to work. Specs (that matter): P4 3GHz 2GB RAM ATI Radeon X300 Dual-Monitors @ 1600X1200 XP Pro SP2
I believe it was stated in the beta readme that Brad posted that W2K is not supported. Only XP 32-bit for this beta. Although I saw someone with W2K3 who said it worked fine. Guess you'll have to wait. From this post https://www.wincustomize.com/Forums.aspx?ForumID=166&AID=88329 Requirements: Windows XP. Does not support Windows 2000 or Windows XP 64-bit (64-bit version will come later though).
Thanks SD for pointing that out... ItechDev, SD is in fact correct, the comment about Jafo was in no way meant to be a threat but a simple jibe all in good fun. As for the coffee, make mine a Grande Caramel Machiatto!!
