oyomr9, I'd presume that blocking activate.api.stardock.net will prevent activation of the product key since it likely connects to this address to validate the key. If you want to stop automatic updates using this method, you probably need to allow activate.api.stardock.net for activation and block it afterwards. The software will still attempt to auto-update but won't find any new versions. Good luck!

Hi, I can tell you that the update check contacts activate.api.stardock.net. However I've also noticed that it periodically connects to dl.dropbox.com but I'm not sure why.

Hi, Can you please tell me why Fences periodically makes connections to dl.dropbox.com? The only other traffic that I've noticed is to activate.api.stardock.net during the update check. Thanks
