A better option would be add the ability to play as one of the three original races alongside their Loyalist and Rebel counterparts, only then Rebellion will truly replace Diplomacy/Trinity.

Brad is a part of Stardock- since he's the CEO- but he's not a part of Ironclad. I'd have to go back and check, but the interview I *think* you're referring to was actually with one or both of the Frasers (brothers?), who are the primary devs in SoaSE.
The thing is Stardock is doing
Indeed, I had hoped we'd see faction diversity more like C&C zero hour in this.
I mentioned C&C Generals: Zero Hour in regards to how I thought the factions should be in this thread , based on my limited knowledge of Rebellion since I am not in the beta, and I like your ideas, GoaFan77.
What are the stats and abilities on the Corsev? So far I know of Boarding Party, Demolition Crew, and Salvage by the looks of what has been said in this thread.
It's definitely better with mods (I use the Absolute Enhancement Mod myself), but I wouldn't say it's "pathetic".
The reason why I say EaW/FoC are pathetic is the unit selection was rather limited, even in the limited scope of the Galactic Civil War, the lack of any Galactic Conquests that didn't have the Zann Consortium, and the Zann Consortium in general being little more than Petroglyph's overpowered dream tea
Didn't think about that. They are basically different versions of the same game. You will get all the Trinity goodies in Rebellion, just a different way to go about it. But if someone buys Rebellion, will you be able to play Trinity without the Rebellion extra stuff? When Diplomacy came out, you could still play a Entrenchment game from within Diplomacy.
Apparently, from what I have heard, the testers they brought in
Well, I think its safe to assume that the Rankulas Battleship will have all of the nanite abilities... [e digicons];)[/e] [e digicons];)[/e]
Now all I need is more info on the Advent and Vasari corvettes, and I will know what the new ships are.
I'm happy to help you with wiki things if you need it for Rebellion.
Well I need things like stats and abilities for the new ships, I have already created pages for the TEC ships. Someone added the Advent and Vasari titans abilities and purpose, but I don't have much info on the TEC titans. I know that TEC Loyalists are defensive, and TEC Rebels are offensive and can ally with the pirates. The screenshots I have se
No kidding, Thoumsin, the Stargate franchise got shot in the foot by Stargate Universe, because it killed the third SG-1 movie and first Atlantis movie. The BSG franchise is the only one left, and I never got into the re-imagined stuff, and Blood and Chrome seems to be the last space sci-fi series, which hasn't aired yet to my knowledge.
Rebellion isn't a true replacement for Trinity until declaring one's allegiance can happen in-game, which is the way many of us thought it was going to be and it apparently was in the beginning.
Maybe Asadex wants all of his games in one place, because that is the only reason I can think of, though Rebellion does come with all of the content from Trinity.
LOL! To say the least. I am definitely classified as a random noob, considering I haven't played much Sins in general, and don't currently have a computer for playing Sins at the moment, so what do I know? Hey! Wait a minute, these forums have been more active in the days leading up to the Rebellion beta than they have been in a long time, so how are they "dead".
Edit: One question though... Did they fix the Domina Subjugator? It is a psionic ship - it should not have to face its target to either heal it or cripple it.
We can only hope since it has been like that since original Sins.
This list should help me update the Sins Wiki for Rebellion, since I am not in the beta and probably won't get Rebellion anytime soon, because I am conflicted on the use of Steam and really need a new computer to appreciate Sins in the first place, yet I am the primary admin on the Sins Wiki.
Sounds to me like corvettes need a durability boost so they can actually bridge the gap between strike craft and frigates, and possibly a buff to their abilities, in order for them to fulfill any role besides cannon fodder.
Yarlen has stated that there isn't a NDA for the beta, so show me, I mean, us!
Impulse was for both third party games, "and" Stardock apps and games.
Ah, so they are like big strike craft, what I was expecting, but only a little stronger than strike craft. I thought for certain they would fill the gap between strike craft and frigates, which they don't quite seem to do based on what everyone's saying. Can they phase jump on their own?
I am a little behind the times when it comes to computers, though I will probably migrate from XP to Windows 7, even though it annoys me a lot, when I build a proper computer of my own. This is my parent's computer that is nearly ten years old. And I won't even bother with Windows 8 unless it gets a redesign, because it clearly doesn't work very well for traditional PC use in its present state from what I am seeing. Microsoft definitely needs to get their act together asap, unless
So what are corvettes like, weaker than fighters, but behave like frigates?
The campaign is in real-time. Pretty fun, though, and the space battles are very good IMHO.
EaW/FoC are pathetic without mods.
I hope they aren't taking a gem of a game and trying to make it a thirty minute smash up.
Like StarCraft?
No kidding, EaW/FoC are pretty pathetic without mods, the unit selection was small, and and the engine is rather limited, with mods like Phoenix Rising are pushing the engine to its limits.
Have nothing to do with Steam or not... it is internal to the game...
Figures there would be some ridiculous gimmick with the Gold Pack, most collections don't have such problems.
Yes. Gold Pack.
The original individual CD releases of EaW/FoC, which I have, never had this problem to my knowledge.
