My original release had the same problems. That's why I switched to the Steam version...
I know how to install mods on Steam. I've seen that video before. This is... something else to do with them.
The game itself is terrible. With mods enabled it is a totally different story. A good compliment to any SW nerd or space game lover in general (Like me!) That said... Plain and simple, no matter what mod I play, the game freezes eventually, forcing me to do a Ctrl+Alt+Delete to get out of it. I've got Windows 7, Steam, and used to have a physical copy, and I easily meet the minimum requirements, and in fact, the Auto-Detect settings put me on maximum! Mods that gi
So, we're updating the Drivers on our computer, at least that's what we're presumably going to do. Someone (Won't say who) is a little bit paranoid about the safety of doing so, and insists we take it to a shop somewhere to get it thoroughly looked at first, get checked, yadda yadda yadda. If anyone has any information on how Drivers affect the computer, particularly games, please post it here. We'd like as much information as possible before we go off to make
Well, that's just lovely. Somebody else is going to need to come up with some updater tools because SOMEBODY(1) (2) is butthurt about Steam/Valve and believing everything the media tells you about them... 1 - Multiple people, not just harpo in this case. IMO, a complete lack of willingness to work through something you don't like (AKA: What our forefathers did and what millions of people around the world do every day). 2 - I blame greed. Human nature has changed. Peopl

Astaxc, this isn't the post for your rant. Take it somewhere else, please. Make a rant thread. Bitch about how you've been supposedly wronged there.
Ugh. Way to set the table for future Sins modders.
Keep trolling. Or better yet, do something productive with your time, like hold up a convienance store or shank a security guard.
As much as I'm tempted to say I'll believe it when I see it and leave it at that... I can't... My inner Sins nerd is pleading for this to be true.
Ya know... I have Steam... I use it daily... I like it... I don't see what you guys are getting so worked up about. This won't effect me negatively at all.

I was going to say what RiddleKing said in a nicer way, but then I took an arrow to the knee. But yes, you are not the only one who plays Advent in this game. I play Advent some. Just not on ICO. But you're probably going to come back and tell me that my opinion is invalid because of that. Look at it this way... Maybe... just maybe... maybe somehow, in sheer defiance of everything the will of the Lord stands for...
Maybe you're <span style="color: #800
In my opinion, that Advent Titan that sareth wasted so much of his and our time bitching about, is the best looking one I've seen. While I do agree that some of the Advent ships are rather poor in design (Revelation, Progenitor, Destra, Talion, Missionary), some are in the middleground (Disciple, Illuminator, Purge, Aeria), most of the rest are outstanding, in my humble opinion (Radiance, Halcyon, Rapture, Transcencia, Beam Platform, Iconus, Domina). Also in my opinion, it
Very useful. And as far as I can remember, it was always a target ability.
Ok. I'll try that.
Uh... How do I check?
With Vertigo, you target an enemy frigate within range, and the area of effect is applied to that frigate. For Magnetize, just target an enemy ship with abilities. I forget if it works on modules or starbases, but there you go.
Your system appears to be fully up to spec for this game and any mod for that matter.
So... what's the problem? I had a similiar issue with Distant Stars for awhile, but that was fixed with their Effeciency Pack. Does SotF have an Effeciency Pack, and if not, will it have one in the future?

Ok, just changed my ShowErrors to FALSE. Never knew about that. Thanks! I don't think I'm doing anything particular. Just capturing planets. No I do not. Like I said, I don't know about computers, so I wouldn't know (Specs). What Video settings should I run?
