Where do ODNT members find the actual price of a given theme? Is the discount applied equally to all themes or does it vary? I haven't bought one ...yet, but I'm an Impulse-ive shopper.
On each Theme page there is a link near the buy button for ODNT users to check on available discounts.

If you purchased Pirate or Magic as a Premium Suite and then repurchased them as a MyColors Theme, contact [email protected] so they can see if you need a refund on those. As for other Premium Suites now marked as Coming Soon as MyColors themes, I'd just wait until they've been upgraded to MyColors and see what your options are then.

As some of you probably have noticed, we've begun moving some of our Premium Suites over to MyColors. And if you've purchased the Pirate or Magic Desktop Premium Suites recently, you'll soon be receiving (if you haven't already) an email explaining that your pur

It's Friday, so that means it's time again for Island Dog to take a tour through the galleries to pick out some of the best the last week has to offer in skins, walls, icons and more. This week there are bootskins, cursors, a DX theme, a Dream, Dock backgrounds, a Sysmetrix skin, wallpaper, and even a WindowBlinds skin. Click the link to see the full list with screenshots and commentary. <P align=center

To your question of "What happens if Stardock goes out of business?" I believe we've stated in the past that if that were to happen, we'd simply unlock the content so reinstalls wouldn't require activation etc. You could then archive your installs to a CD and that would be that. As for allowing a user to unregister a serial and then allow someone to re-register it, that wouldn't be workable. That second user would then download the game from us, or subsequent patchet

I should clarify, we're really looking for WC/Skinning questions, not Stardock product questions. While we'll obviously talk about Stardock stuff, this isn't The Stardock Software Podcast. I'll have a post up tomorrow talking about what's happening with MyColors/Premium Suites/Master Skins.

Well, just a short while ago, we crossed the 500th listener to Episode 1, and this morning we were listed on the iTunes Podcast directory (you can even search for us). Not bad for a 30min deal we barely managed to put together in time for Monday! Tonight we're going to record Episode 2 and we'd like to get a few listener questions for the session. Episode 2 will just be Island Dog and myself, as we

Island Dog is back with yet another Screencast. This time he takes users through the paces with MyColors. He talks about the differences between MyColors and Object Desktop 2007, how to download, install and apply themes. In the demo he shows off Diamond, the free theme that comes with MyColors and talks about some of the other themes you can snag h

Some wallpapers are posted to the main gallery, but a lot get placed on the Personal Page. This is to avoid wallpapers flooding off all other content from the recent/newest skins pages etc. Where a wallpaper is placed is determined by moderator vote. This is a change from past policy where most wallpapers were out-right rejected from the site.

Good afternoon! Things are kind of slow in terms of skinning news today so I thought it would be fun for folks to share what their desktops look like right this second. No cleaning up icons, closing out windows etc. to make a pretty clean shot. I want stuff that's cluttered and lived-in. What does your desktop look like right at this moment as you're surfing this story? Here's mine... <A href="https://draginol.stardock.net/images/zoomba/Des

There is some confusion over this one. 1. Forum threads in categories that are shared between sites will not go away. WC content will show up here as JU content shows up there. This cross-pollination of posts is intentional and has always worked this way. This will not be changed regardless of petitions, emails or other complaints. 2. Currently forum posts are being intermingled with articles in the "Recent Articles" box on the sidebar. This m

Turns out that Microsoft hasn't completely forgotten Windows Vista Ultimate users. Released with no fanfare or press, you can now grab a soundpack with two new system sound schemes for Vista, and a package of DreamScenes from Windows Update. Could this mean that the Ultimate Extras program is back from the dead?

In case you haven't checked it out yet, you can now grab a copy of MyColors , complete with the Diamond theme from Download.com. This is pretty cool since MyColors is the featured download on the site today. This means skinning is getting some very high profile exposure right now, with users downloading and trying out custom

Yesterday, we posted Episode 1 of the WinCustomize Skincast . While the reaction on the thread has been positive, we'd like to get some numbers around actual opinion. Since polls are anonymous, we'll probably get slightly more honest feedback, and give those who were afraid to post negative comments on the thread an opportunity to share their views. So go ahead, vote on the poll, and feel free to share any

Media Players seem to be a fading thing lately with the onslaught of iTunes over the last few years. Unfortunately, iTunes is locked up pretty tight and themes are very hard to come by/create. Well, if you're still craving a customizable media player, WinCustomize has you covered with skins for WinAmp , Windows Media Player , and the relatively new but super-e
As far as the partitioning, you won't need to reformat your drive for that, nor will you need to reinstall your current OS (unless of course you screw up the partitioning). I've set up a good many dual boot systems and never once had to reformat or reinstall the existing OS. You should still understand exactly what you're doing before attempting it though.
Your mileage may vary with programs that repartition without needing to reformat. I've personally never had
