It may be hard to believe, but Winstep Software Technologies, the company behind Winstep, the integrated suite of Windows shell enhancement/replacement tools, turns 10 years old today. April 10th, 1998. Today we'd like to extend our congratulations to Jorge and crew on making something that really has stood the test of time. They survived the d

It's not often that we talk about a specific MyColors Theme here on WinCustomize, but today it's a little bit different. Cosmos is one of the new Inspired Themes from Stardock Design's PixelPirate, one of the best known and most talented skinners in the community. It's a great theme with a space/futuristic
Maybe on a future version of the site.
If you order directly from Stardock, it's the price in USD converted to your local currency.
Every month, I poll the moderation team here at WinCustomize for what their favorite skins of the month are. They have to pick one, and only one, skin and give a brief explanation of why they picked it. Here are the mod picks for March, 2008.... <SPAN class=Dyna
As the release of Twilight rapidly approaches, more previews are cropping up around the Internet. Last Friday, GameShark joined the party with their own impressions on the latest build of the expansion pack. Troy Goodfellow puts the game through its paces and shares what he found. Like just about everyone else, Troy paid special attention to the degree of customization and differentiation betwee

This is a great idea! I've pinned this post to the top of the forum so everyone will see it.
XPThemes and VistaThemes are gateway sites. People may stumble across these sites in Google, and they'll eventually make their way here to WC. They're not as overwhelming as WinCustomize can be, so it's easier for new users to navigate. It all points in to WC content though, so they make their way here eventually :)
Another month has come and gone, which means it's time for Island Dog to round up the best dreams from the community and cut them together in a nice video montage. The whole video comes in at about 1 minute and showcases seven great dreams. Hit the link for the full list and video.
Sorry I didn't have this poll up yesterday, but I was a bit busy with a few other things and lost track of the time. But never fear, I have not forgotten you and your weekly polls! This week's poll follows up on Brad's Frog Blog post, specifically the ne
Obsidian found their way again with the NWN2 expansion pack; Mask of the Betrayer. It was what the original game should have been. Well written, faster pace, more "fun" less "work" and a lot of improvements to the UI and engine. KOTOR2 was one of the most disappointing games I've played in years. After the greatness of the first one, I had high hopes for the second. Even higher once I was told that how I interacted with each character would have subtle influences o
You must provide proof on your FUTURE submissions. Because you previously uploaded questionable work, we require that you provide some sort of proof or assertion that your future uploads are in fact your own.

All purchases will transition from SDC to Impulse. Purchases are tied to your account, not to the download manager. Impulse will also automatically detect what you've already installed with SDC and be able to take over updates for those tools automatically. We've had users testing Impulse for several weeks now, and the results have been positive. I personally have both SDC and Impulse running on this machine currently and they even coexist nicely. You won't
"Monday" is defined by Stardock time ;)
Last week I asked what part of your UI you change the most often. Was it wallpapers, skins, icons or app-specific stuff like ObjectDock or RightClick? Personally, I figured wallpapers would win out by a wide margin, with skins coming in a distant second. Turns out I was wrong... Skins won out, with wallpapers following very closely behind. Icons and appli
I don't know about you, but I had a fantastic weekend. Here in frosty Michigan the weather was warm, sunny and generally great. It's almost a shame to be back in the office while it's still so nice outside (high near 70f here today!). But while I'm here, looking longingly out the window, I figured I should share with you some of my favorite uploads from the weekend now gone... <A id=ctl00__ContentArea__SkinLis

Space Ponies are both the question AND the answer. Like a mobeus strip with no beginning and no end. They simply ARE.
Thread locked. It's gone way off topic. iVAN: Your questions have all be adequately answered as they related to this thread. The rest of your issues with impulse, alpha patches, and ongoing development of OD+ have also been answered despite them being vastly off-topic.
Sometimes I like to go back through the archives of a gallery to see what people were uploading to the site "back in the day" and I'm discovering that, in some cases, that some things were better back in "the good old days". Wallpapers being chief among them. Well, more specifically, the wallpaper gallery back when Nuvem was still on the site. It was Koop who turned me on to Nuvem's wallpapers back when I first joined Stardock two years ago. His work is of such stunn
Get Impulse, install the alpha (unsupported) patch. Done. The matter is closed.
Another week down, and Island Dog is back once again with his weekly feature on what's cool and great in skinning for the week. This week we have a wide selection of skins ranging from a Xion skin, to OD Backgrounds, a Sidebar Gadget, Wallpaper, DX Theme and more. Give the list a look and see if there's anything that catches your eye. <A href="https://www.wincustomize.com/skins.as
