Some people have used it and said it prevented mini-dumps on older versions of Maelstrom that went over 2GB usage. But R7 uses less t

Since it got over looked, do I need to install the 4gb patch? I'm running a 64 bit windows 7 however I've seen people say that the patch does nothing and that if I install it I could actually mess my game up
Quick question since I went ahead and downloaded the R7 version for the original mod should I or should I not install the 4gb patch? Also it turns out that I do have the R7 version of the expansion mod however as soon as I started up a saved game of the expansion mod I had a mini dump happen and I'm not sure why
Have you got Sins Original patched to v1.193?
Yeah, if it helps we were doing everything on low settings for visual stuff, my computer has an I7 processor with 4GB of ram and my friends computer has at least 2GBs of ram and a quad 4 processor. We use to be able to run the mod with super dreadnoughts at max settings for everything and we would only have a mini dump if we had more than 2 200+ ship fleets fight
So me and my friends use to play this mod on vanilla sins with the new dreadnoughts and it would work fine with the occasional mini dump but today we decided to get the version with no dreadnoughts however within the game loading the game mini dumps right away and we can't figure out why

They had to put a new DVD/CD-Drive in it. As far as the rest of the issues you are having it sounds to me like it possibly needs to go to a repair facility. Your new graphics card could be bad or not seated correctly, or you are having software driver issues if you want to check those first.[/quot
Ok so every laptop I've owned to date has been a Toshiba Satellite however up till now I've never had a problem. Here's what happened, I bought the new laptop a Toshiba Satellite A665-S6070, one of their newer models (at the time) about a year ago, it was suppose to have 3 hours of battery life however I got home, charged it first then set it up and its never had more then an hour's battery life, what normally happens is the battery life will jump around like

I'd say do some PvP practice with friends or if you play vanilla sins just look for Berek Thunderfist, Sindri, or Hambo3, we usually let random people join as long as they're not dicks, we usually play with at least 3 AI and lately we've been turning them to hard but depending on how fast the game goes it sometimes turns into a friendly game of PvP
I think its mostly because some games don't get finished and some of the wins are probably from games with friends vs the AI's

Ok new question, Wheres the best place to find mods? I tried Moddb but most of those mods are TBA or the downloads for the original Sins are no longer available.
I know this has probably been done before but I figured "eh why not make one" Ok I know there are only 3 races but name your favorite or better yet list the races in the order you would play them and why. 1. TEC - I like the KOL Battleship and the Sova Carrier plus they're easiest mineral wise so they let me do what I like best massive expansion with massive fleets, also their ships seem to hold up the best against the other races with their Thick Hulls and moderate shi
regarding older sins mods, the mod updater can update ANY vanilla sins mod from 1.15 and later to the current 1.191, BUT any mod from earlier than 1.15 IS NOT able to be updated by the mod updater because of several issues including the change of use of the channels in the textures in 1.10, and all the earlier than 1.15 used the ONE mods folder, at least from 1.15 each version has it's OWN mods folder, which helps the mod updater significantly
