Manni is correct - it is fully by Essorant. And so are 'Earth', 'Air' and 'Water' - watch this space. (And that's taking nothing away from Xaphire which is an excellent skin by JJYing.)
Vista / Win7 dual boot. Virtualbox is installed on both of those, and either of those can load the same virtual machine running XP. I only use XP to check XP skins now. Please will everyone stop using XP now? Then I can stop making pesky toolbar icons and progress animations...
One of the coolest most useable skins available and a reference to other skinners on tight, clean design. Triple A skin my friend. ;)
A political rant? How dull. zzzz....
Re. "Windows 7 Support" - I think it is worth mentioning again, WB skins with all the Vista elements covered work fine on Windows 7. There are only about half a dozen additional areas to Windows 7 skins (including jumplists, previews, extended start panel and different taskbar button bits) and even these are managed by reusing existing skin elements if they haven't been specifically created. True, there are some other tweaks and adjustments can be made, but the compatibility is very good: skins
Ah. Sorry, I didn't realise that MyColors for Win7 wasn't out yet. I still think of skins from a WB perspective.
Z71. This bug has been fixed and an update will be posted in due course. It's my fault - that's two skins it's happened in... probably caused by my advanced age: it's my 45th Birthday on Sunday :( Hundreds, no, thousands of apologies. :'(
"no windows 7 support" makes it sound like skins don't work on Win7. They do work on Win7, and I think the only thing you don't get is the 'colour glow' on taskbar buttons and the expanding start panel for searches. Additional parts like jump list and previews are catered for using Vista elements and tooltip colours. I'd call that 'backward compatibility'. About 98% of the total content of a skin is XP and Vista stuff. And Win7 isn't quite out yet. It has to be remembered that skins take some co
Thanks for your kind comments. It's good to be appreciated. Too often it's easy to see things which we don't like about these designs, we often forget to appreciate the good bits! Thanks, Tim
It's not a n00b skin Fuzzy.
As cool as pie.
So nice. Restrained and useable clean looking skin. Top quality as usual. Twenty stars.
You will be seeing the original one soon. Not a master skin though.
Ah. That picture isn't my next master skin after all... This one is though: (sorry about the watermark)
Shelby: The media player is the Firefox plugin 'FoxyTunes' in mini mode - basically just a remote for other players, it's controlling Foobar. And you are right - that bluetooth is just for cell phone syncing my desktop pc. Icons are off because I'm running the excellent and totally essential 'NextStart' (part of the Winstep Suite) which lets me bump the top right screen corner to toggle them on and off. Lantec: When this Master skin is up there is a possibility that I might be updatin
Oh - yes CarGuy - thank you. Darn - I've been neglecting my replies, sorry. Things are quite hectic right now. I haven't had time to do much graphics at all really.
Ah. Didn't realise this would appear 'everywhere'! I though it was only going to be on my own profile pages. Soz.
Thank you for the support of all the people here on WC who are willing to buy these skins. It is greatly appreciated. :)
Long way to go yet, but most Window and Start Panel stuff done. Next, it's the XP bits, then Vista bits, then the extras (clock, dock, wallpaper etc.) Might be a while before this is ready... :) (also set as 'My Desktop' in my profile) Tim
Very nice. Definitely worth subscribing for. Ten stars, and a sugar lump.
Essorant's top Master Skinning tips: - usable first, decorative second (no point having a beautiful but useless skin is there?) - don't move the min/max/close buttons to somewhere strange - 'highlight text' colour should be black! - make your skin xp AND vista ready - don't go half way! - we don't need another xp/vista/mac/your_OS_here clone - think of something original - take your time - respect people's opinions of your stuff - unless they are just being silly
